I'll take coilpack and bracket posted to perth w.a price?

hold on man...dont have the time nor the inclination right now to strip..looking for a place i can get the car towed straight to and remove some parts. depending on the deal I get I might just give the whole car to one person if they can organise towing to their residence. Also, havnt had a look at the condition of the engine..assuming its okay but want to confirm before I sell to anyone

solution: strip and sell, then buy my 33! everyone wins!

lol...no knowledge or time to strip so prefer to sell the whole car but will see what happens

No good man. Glad ur OK. U have a couple of grand worth of parts with the wreck, strip and sell what u can, scrap the rest and fund a new one.

Thanks man..hope I have that much in there...but probably only if I strip and sell parts individually..

if you need to turn it into money sell it to Fatz to strip

He contacted me , want to ascertain exact condition of the car first... but I may end up doing this to both get the car and memory out of my head and because I donthave the space to store the car nor do I have the knowledge or time to strip the parts and sell it individually.

So far id like to

- pay someone to strip the parts for me...sell shell to wreckers..if they want it and sell parts individually

- sell entire car to someone

but will confirm soon

Thanks for all the support guys...it pains me to even visit the forum and see the word skyline after my ordeal but its something that has to be done...as the holding yard wont be able to hold my car for much longer.

Will update later in the week.

Dude you do not have nothing..you have your life ...live for memories and good times material things mean nothing it can be fixed take every ones advice and swap everything out into another shell it will be a good learning experience and you will gain valuable knowledge about your car chin up dude

well if you get to the end of it all and you're after another 33 and mine's still around, look me up

as nathan said though - cars are replaceable, people aren't.

Thanks guys, its the loss of license that is hitting me as well, otherwise id have another r33 in the garage right now. Public transport is a b*tch.

Engine doesnt seem to have any physical damage

I dont really have the space to store it at my place so if anyone has any suggestions or offers let me know.

I prefer to pay someone to strip the car for me..and i dont want the engine...so maybe we can work something out if someone can organise a place I can tow the car to, get it stripped , they can have the engine + some money my way and Il take the parts I need...failing that , I'll just sell the car as a whole.

Things of value on the car

- splitfires for rb25det s2 - about 10 000km old

- rb25det s2 - 133 000km , no smoke , engine was running perfectly , serviced by Paden at Unique Automotive every 5000km

- straight through 3inch exhaust with gtr front pipe and gtr cat

- hdi boost guage and boost controller

- pedders coilovers - about 7000km old

- jcv splits at the front , pioneer amp, Philips USB headunit

- and ofcourse any other salvageable body parts like rear lights etc

- auto transmission - but these arent worth much

Cheers

    • I transferred from full time service to Army Reserve, so I still have access, work has been super keen to get me in to work in the OPS realm, so just turning up to use the gym......and ovens, isn't causing any issues, apart from me needing to keep on telling them that I won't be doing any reserve days until I get my joint in Goulburn sorted  Basically I can now work whenever I want, for how long I want now, and it's all tax free Next time we have some fires or floods you might see me covered in mud, or cutting sick in some plant equipment cleaning up, the Reserves love getting in the news, LOL
    • Final finish outcome of 80°c was typical to the pics, I've turned the oven down to 50°c and will pick them up after the gym tomorrow  The before and after difference was amazing, the wrinkle paint has covered all of the casting marks completely It did take a couple of hours to key it all and get in all of the crevices, but, for me it was time well spent for the final outcome, but I have all the time in the world to do it at the moment  Ended up with 4 coats, each sprayed at different angles to get optimal coverage and thickness As for the fixtures and intake box thingo that hasn't made it, the supplier is apparently posting the fixtures, and, are now sending a different CAI that is in stock The replacement CAI is actually better than what I originally ordered, but will require a pod filter that locates under the front bar, still serviceable, but it basically removes the whole OEM filter box and ducts into the front bar, so filter cleaning will require ramps and the removal of some front bar undertray, not a war stopper, just some ramps and an additional 10 minutes work every few months From looking at it it is made from alloy pipe from the throttle body, through the CAI hole in the rad support, then right turning under the bar, luckily the wrinkle paint was on special and I got 2 cans for $30ish, so the alloy will get the same wrinkle treatment as the intake manifold, hopefully it turns up soon, either way, the car will be getting booked in soon, if the parts aren't here, I'll just get MX5 Mania to " make it work"
    • I'm so glad base security is so high. I see they stopped some random codger from being able to just wander in off the street... 😛   PS, intake looks good!
    • So far so good, another hour and their done
    • Exactly how each part works and how they all work together to make the engine function. That's all I'd need to do a basic build. Maybe how forced induction works. I probably need to learn some of the maths behind it all as well.
