Hello.

Just wondering whats a bolt on to stock turbo upgrade for a r34 rb25det neo engine.

Sorry for my ignorance I been asking people but keep getting silly answers.

I own a patrol with a rb25det neo engine out of r34 so you can see why I wouldn't know lol.

My stock turbos got a little whine to it so I just assume its on its last legs.

Highflow is probably the cheapest option so long as you are able to have the car off the road for a few weeks

However, bear in mind that you will also need to have the car retuned, which means ECU, and you'll probably want other supporting modifications too

You can also have the old one reconditioned with similar sized turbine and compressor wheel, and still run the old ECU with stock tune. Just post up you questions in this thread... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/261613-hypergear-hiflow-service-continued/

Ok well I have the same motor, standard turbo, with just an exhaust, front mount and a piggy back ecu and I have 220rwkw on 100 octane.

There is no point buying a 3076 for your required application, you won't be able to run anywhere enough boost with the standard injectors, ecu and intercooler. Not to mention it'd cost around $2000 to buy it and put it on.

For your target your best option would be a highflow or the mods I mentioned I have. Either will get you there and cost HEAPS less

Nistune. That path is well trodden. Really all you'd need is a bigger intercooler and exhaust and up the boost to 12psi and you'd have 200rwkw. Or close enough anyway. They're pretty quick once you up the boost a bit

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
