RBR dug the hole ... no doubt.

But i say BS to chassis argument. Look at how RBR had an average chassis at the start of the year. They were allowed to develop which they have done and easily one of the best 3 going at the moment.

Argument could be made that they are the best.

Now engines...all but 3 teams are locked into what they

are given/bought. You could argue Williams get the same gear but this year they have been behind in spec and it is absolutely an engine formula. They tried to fix that issue years ago by freezing engines as a variable to within a few percent.

Now thats its a variable let others catch up just as they can from an aero or susp or brake perspective. Freezing it when it is a huge variable is silly as Renault and Honda teams are forced to sit out a season.

Good on Merc for getting it right...theybdeserve their championships....but imagine if other teams were banned from developing a blown diffuser...or an F-Duct etc....

Engine homologation has, is and always will be, shit.

Kimi is also taking a 5th engine this weekend. It's just not newsworthy for him because he's on half the points of his team mate and not in contention for anything.

Vettel is really only racing Rosberg anyway. Hamiltion's 66 point lead is basically insurmountable with 100 points left on the table in the 4 remaining races. He could DNF two of them with Vettel winning both, and still afford to finish 2nd to Vettel in the other two...

That's an awkward way of saying Vettel would have to win all the remaining races and hope Lewis DNFs at least two of them to even have a sniff! It's never going to happen.

Alonso will be running the new Honda PU all weekend too for the first time - only used in a prac session before. So it will be interesting to see if that goes any better than Jenson's old PU. Apparently this new spec engine introduces their direction for next year.

So will the English prat Palmer get his ass handed to him by Pastor? I doubt it but hope so. i like jim a tad more than James Calado which is really saying they are all tools from different shelves!

How guys like Frijns sit on the bench while...ok. Its the weekend and I should relax

Definitely to invested.. haha.

Let's be honest vettel isn't as big of a tool as homo is.

i dunno about that.....

TBH you have to have the sort of attitude they do to be a world champion. You can say what you want about homo but he can bloody drive.

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
