First I'm going to start with restoring your headlights with toothpaste.
I'm guessing most people know about this but if you don't it's going to cost you 50c rather than a $30 headlight restoration kit from an auto shop.
If you have an old imported vehicle from japan it's most likely going to have yellow headlights. This is how you can make them brand new for next to no money.
1. Clean headlights with water and a clean rag.
2. Apply whole headlights with toothpaste
3. With rag scrub the tooth paste into the headlight trying to remove as much of the oxidation as possible
4. Clean tooth paste off with water and wipe dry
You can do this again to get them more clear if they are still a little yellow but it should work first time and look brand new!
tip - Clean one headlight first to see the difference and you'll be amazed.

(More post's to come later)

Ask to see room at hotel, steal toothbrush kit from bathroom while viewing room, then tell them u don't like 'the vibe' of the room and don't check in. Raid salvo's bin and nab old t shirt. Result, free tools for headlight mod.

But agreed, thread title could be 'broke-ass mods' or similar. Anyway, 2 faves are, plug up bypass hole in base of bov for more responsive throttle, and 3in pipe into rubber intake mods. Cheap n good.

Nothings going yo make your na cat actually go better for free.

So, i actually reccomend a semi thought out hole in airbox will make some more induction noise and is free. Will suck hot air but won't matter. Will sound slightly better.

Not sure if na skylines have a resonance chamber type thing on their inlet, probably do. If so get rid of it. Car will sound better.

I cut a big slot on my R31's airbox, makes a barely audible purring noise when you close the throttle. Also makes the air filter dirtier quicker. Apart from that, no difference. In fact, complete airbox + snorkel apparently gives you slightly better fuel economy. LOL

Check tyre pressures.

I've been guilty of driving with lower than optimum pressures especially if the car sits for months at a time.

Yes! Me too. I was going to suggest buying a hand-held pressure gauge but that would make it not 'free'. :)

Take a big shit before a drive. Weight reduction ftw.

Also, diet. Save money on food AND go faster.

I've done this personally :)

Lost 20 kilos so I'm no longer a fat shit. Better power/weight ratio, fuel economy & health lol :P

But also taking out all the crap/junk that's in your car all adds up too for whatever little weight benefit it provides. At least you'll have a clean car for sexing the ladies ;)

This thread is going to provide some good laughs by the looks of it. My suggestion was what Hadouken beat me to, take off your CAT, bash it out, bolt back on. You get killa pop on the downshift sometimes and who doesnt want that?

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
