Looking for a silver commodore possible p plate that crashed into my car at approx 3:00am tonight.
I heard him drift around the corner and crash into the car, He speed off with a train of coolant trail that i could follow because he drifted around the corners after and when he slows down spilled more fluid.
His radiator fluid is f**ked spilling fluid everywhere down the street.
If you see a silver commodore in the campbelltown area that looks like they had a very heavy accident
pm me. Anyone who works smash repair in campbelltown area keep and eye out
(I know chances are slim on here but if you live in campbelltown keep and eye out)
cheers

If you're in a dead end street, are there any CCTVs at local shops or neighbours?

No cameras in my area. i know where he was coming from because i can see skid marks but unfortunately no one with cameras out side of their house.

No shops nearby. Trail ended, did not find the car. So unfortunately he got away.

He hit my mums car, absolutely destroyed undrivable but it span it 90 degrees and my car has front bumper pushed down/ paint. so i was lucky. mums car wasn't

He had a old commodore and hit pretty hard so hopefully he hurt himself with no airbags. He reversed out instantly after impact.

He's radiator would have been f**ked from the amount of coolant on the road. He had been driving it hard before so the car was prob all ready hot and then he drove it hard to get away. so he got pretty lucky getting away with it.

I don't know how he got away, one lucky sob if you ask me,

The bang was loud enough to wake up most the people in my street. So a couple of different people got a glance of it. But they all just woke up so no number plates because he was gone to fast. one guy said dark silver around 2003 commodore. pretty common car so very slim chances of finding him.

Either stolen or bought cheap, flogged without plates on it (no rego)
My mum claimed because her car is f**ked with wheel axle bent (maybe written off) but my excess is so much i'll just fix it myself
Cheers guys :)

Ouch, its the same around here, idiots leaving the pub, lots of V6 and V8 skids, happily the gutters have lots of alloy covering them from wheels making contact with them.

Over the last year at least 1/2 dozen idiots have put themselves on the foot path, luckily no one has been killed by the idiots.

All I can say is don't park on the street if possible.

take photos of everything & file a report to the police. You never know.

What a kunt, I can hear bogans doing burnouts & skids in the backstreets down near my house sometimes, absolute f**kwits

I rang the police as soon as it happened

Yeah, save up your centerlink money and go to a f**king track if you're shit.

Yeah skid marks everywhere around my area. It looks like a formula drift track.

We parked off the street in our drive way but still he managed to wipe out our car because he has no skill.

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
