RB Light Weight Flywheels $375

Recommended Posts

Guest darrinspencer

If we can get 10 people together i can get light weight flywheels to suit all RB motors Rb20, Rb25, Rb26 Rb30 for $375 each

They weigh 6.5kg each

They come complete with a new ring gear.

Made from high carbon 4340 steel.

Flywheels are CNC machined locally in Brisbane.

Previous group buys were $495 and made from a lower grade 4140 steel.

So that makes these great value.

Normal price for these flywheels are $450

Delivery to other states approx $20.

how long u looking at doing this? even at 450 thats cheap. I'm interested if its in a month or two. I just put bilsteins in and my pockets are incredibly shallow at the moment and the credit card debt seems to be increasing lol.

4340 is perhaps the highest grade high tensile steel that most machine shops can machine!!! THe japanese ones that are below 5 kgs are a totally different kettle of fish they are billet cast then machined (very expensive)... Also all you guys wanting to go below 5 kg have you thought of the effect on MAIN bearingS when doing this and not haveing the crank balanced; as you would in a rebuild.... Word of warning!! Going to light would be detramentle...

free bump!!!they sound good pity i have a tripple plate!!

Put me down for an RB25 lightweight flywheel. I am based in Sydney so I would have to organise delivery, but if that's good then yep definitely right to go!!!

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
