Kaaz 1.5 Way Diff Oil Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Just wondering If anyone recommends a good oil for my Kaaz 1.5 way in my R34.

Its clunky around corners but I've heard there are oils to minimize this problem.

Any recommendations would be great.

Thanks

Any other recommendations?
I'm planning on running redline lightweight shockproof.
It done miracles on my gearbox, hopefully it will do the same with my diff,

Thoughts?

Thanks again

I have been told that shockproof in an LSD will make it operate a little tighter. Can't remember source of that information, so don't know if its credible. Contact Redline to see what they say and let us know.

Use your recommended weight LSD Oil, something around the 80W140 range then add Penrite Limslip addictive to reduce the chatter.

Alternatively, Penrite make a decent LSD oil that supposedly has a heaps of friction modifiers in it already:

I'm a little tight, so I just use Nulon SAE90 with added Limslip to keep the diff quiet and often dump the diff oil at the same time as the engine oil.

The penrite lsd range come with the friction modifier already in it.

Use the 8090 in penrite which is equal to ls90, OR I use LS140 in kaaz units and it works a treat. DO NOT GO OVERBOARD ON THE FRICTION MODIFIER, too much will f**k it

OS GIKEN 80W-250.

I run it in my Quaife front and Nismo GT pro rear. It calmed the GT Pro down by 90%.

I'm going to run this in my Nismo 1.5 way. Where did you buy it from? ebay seems a bit pricey, was looking at getting it from RHD. Going to buy 2 litres - That should be enough yeah?
