Cool know the black one but wasn't sure about the breather and bov return

Mine has a blitz bov or dump valve close to the throttle plate, is that not standard or bov comes with these cars ?

The return pipe is blanked off so guess it may be it was used and not it no longer it ??

Can you block both of those pipes and remove them ?

Mine has a bov or dump valve on the

So does r34 have bov from manufacture ?

If so is it the one just before the throttle plate as mine was changed to blitz

If above is correct thej why do they have the turbo return pipe close to intake which is blocked off? Can one buy a silicone and remove that 2 pipe ( metal ones?)

The BOV return needs to be close to the turbo inlet to stop reversion. They blocked it off so the turbo doesn't suck unfiltered air once the atmo BOV was fitted.

Silicone intakes are bloody stupid if that's what you mean, they suck shut when they get hot as the turbo generates a lot of vacuum.

I am failing to understand the point of it

If it is close to intake and the air returns when throttle is closed, the box close to throttle plate releases that air so what is this for ?

Even if air goes there it is trapped, right?

I am sorry if this sounds stupid but don't get it

Curious as to how it works

The factory BOV releases trapped pressure in the intake and releases it in front of the turbo so it goes around and around. But this aspect of the functionality doesn't really matter, because the reality of the situation is that the factory BOV is not really a BOV. Calling it a BOV is a lazy shorthand. It is really a compressor bypass valve, and what it does it it opens when the engine is under vacuum to allow air to flow direct from the inlet to the engine without having to pass through the turbo. Thus unloading the turbo and allowing it to spool faster.

Simples.

ok , I have been reading around and know why people are saying to put the original or at least recirculating valve back but i love the sound of the blow off

I know this means richer engine but how much ?

if I want to keep maf , can i relocate maf close to intake or is that silly idea? no one has ever done this and my question would be why not just relocate it ?

sorry if this sounds daft but not sure really

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
