Hi All,

I am currently negotiating in buying a yellow 34R located in Sydney south west (Campbelltown area). I have just briefly inspected the car and its looks to be in pristine condition. The current owner is a mature aged car enthusiast (also owner of an Automotive workshop in C'town area) and was evident that he kept the car in good shape. Has anyone seen the car on the road or know any info etc?

I plan to keep the car for awhile however the question is, how hard is it to sell a Yellow R? I dont mind it to be honest but heard that yellow is not for everyone..... Would you consider Yellow?

Sorry for the stupid questions fellaz!

Pretty sure i know the one you're talking about

Friend of a friend kinda thing, apparently it's immaculate but i haven't seen it

Yellow is a tricky one, i'd definitely own one but you've gotta be careful with wheel choice, really hit and miss with some colours

Would i buy a yellow one? probably not, but who cares.

Buy what you want to own, not what you want to sell. unless your planning to turn it around in a small amount of time or looking to make a profit.

shit buy a pink one if that's what you want.

i guess so. I dont mind a yellow R to be honest.

Regardless of the colour, It's a GTR ppl will look. lol

$45k is a lot to spend to get ppl to look at you...

I like that yellow GTR '10 4' posted, looks mint, would own, wouldn't care about selling. There's two sides to supply and demand, if a buyer wants yellow and your's is the only one then maybe they'll buy it. if a buyer wants blue, maybe there's a few for sale, he'll buy the nicest one or the cheapest one. it's not a commodity and very very subjective.

Just make sure there's an RB in there.

looks like a pac performance demo car, they might have put a 20B in it.

But seriously its rare and that itself is a good thing and at the end of the day the only person that it needs to impress is you.

Unless someone is willing to buy it for you.

I plan to have it inspected from Powertune this Friday prior to purchase. Fingers cross it all turns out well.

In regards to getting a vehicle history report, are there any site where you can get it for free.? lol

If you need to economise on a vehicle history report, then maybe a $45k 15'ish year old car is not really the right one for you?

why pay if you can get something for free?

That's like saying just because you're buying a Ferrari and can afford one doesn't mean you cant look to save a buck..

I like the yellow.. But if I actually bought one, it has to be blue.
Personal perference: Blue > MNP (any of the 3) > Yellow > Black > Red > Jade > Silver > White

For 45k and if kms are genuine and its a genuine car.. Yellow would do me nicely hah.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
