Hi all just bought my Stagea (Stagea-C34-Autech-260RS-WGNC34) wanted one for too many years, stepping out of a BMW X54.6IS worked,

I have uploaded a gallery of images.

So far I have just replaced the Japanese head unit with motorised Clarion DVD iPod Reverse camera, amp & aub etc...

Many many mods from Japan major step is to get the power turned back on... MINE"S ECU Apexi Exhaust Sards hi-flow cat, Garrett turbos, fuel rail, injectors, HKS ignition,G-Racing coil overs, alloy front upper arms, Alloy wheel hubs, 2 piece VOLK RAYS, so much more I'm still finding...

Need help on unleashing he power... I'm in Newcastle & need a good tuner, I've had a complete inspection at the mechanics & everything is spot on but is is under powered.

Any advice would be very welcome or a contact for someone that can turn on the tunes or re-tune the MINE"S...

x2

cant be tuned, dosnt suit straya fuel anyway.

buy a nistune and 2x z32 afms

$500 + $500 = $1000

or spend a little more and get a plug and play haltech and don't need to buy afms

$1800

any reason you say HALTECH? as I just spent $2500 replacing The Japanese Head unit so a bit for a ECU is well worth it...

If you already have z32s then nistune will be much cheaper. and a good option in its own right too, can still go flex fuel with the new ones.

I prefer haltech with no afms for several reasons but just have a bit of a search for the pros and cons of each ecu.

but tbh if you have already spent cash on z32s I would probably just spend $500 get a nistune and get a tune done.

Congrats on the autech :D I picked one up in March.

Just out of curiosity, I assume its fine, but is there any detriment or benefit to running the z32 afms with haltech?

There is a school of thought that says AFMs are more accurate than MAP sensors but my own thinking is that MAP sensors are closer to the action ... but I am open to being proved wrong. I haven't seen any back to back comparisons.

Well it's to be sorted out next week. Took a while to work out what to do & thanks for the advice.

Jezz at DVS Tuning gets the car on Monday for...

-walbro 255 fuel pump

-725cc injectors

-haltech ECU Dyno tuned with boost solenoid

-upgraded camshafts

-adjustable cam gears

-100k service kit (am I over servicing? 82K on the clock) including water pump

-rocker cover gasket kit

- oil catch can

Time for power...

Always worth doing the cam belt on a new purchase - you don't know how accurate the km on the clock are.

Cam/timing belt being done as part of the 100k service to be safe.

Anyone have similar mods on an RB26 DETT - DET or RB25? If so what sort of power do you get & what do you think I will get?

Thanks Shaun.....

I got 270rwkw

r32 stock engine stock turbos

halltech platinum pro 1bar boost controlled by an electronic solenoid
without the cam upgrade and running out of injectors so you should se somewhere between that and a bit higher.
your turbos will run out before 300 I would say

well yeah, greatly.
what boost are you planning to run?

what cams are you going for?

Devs will be able to give you a much better answer I can cos I don't know.

depends what runs out first, boost/fuel/....stock bottom end

I will go with what the mechanic recommends as I'm no expert.

But I do not want to destroy the engine as the car is almost NEW condition inside & out. I was very lucky to come across it.

Everyone wants over 300KW & a 10sec car, here's hoping/dreaming.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
