LOL...they say a virgins first time often hurts and end in tears :)

If your real nice to me and you arent already 4 seconds quicker then me there may be some sticky rubber floating around that can find its way onto your car on Sunday for the Sprint :)

...us GTST folk have to pull our resources if we are to keep pace with all these cheaters in their 4wds with sticky rubber :P

Just wondering what the story is for spectators at the track. I was thinking of coming down and watching. A few friends also wanted to know. I have the green leaflet but only driver details etc.

entry fees etc? or do i have to call piarc? hoping someone here knew.

All are free to come spectate and have a picnic and see the Island. PIARC are setting this up as a family event.

Roy there is no way I'll be 3 seconds faster. I've raced U2L Sports Sedans there but that was a century ago. I can barely remember the track and have been corrupted by looking at it on TV.

Snowie, that clutch is typical button, I'd guess brass or ceramic sintered 3/4 puck from my brief drive. Had fun trying to come back to terms with one, but you can get a sprung one like mine which is very easy to drive but clamps just as well.

Yeah I laughed at that - "bring the family for a picnic by the lake - swim, sail and enjoy the views."

I can just imagine how many people will be swimming in late August at Phillip Island.

BTW - Roy - I drove your car the other day (like the total distance from outside the front of Ice back inside at the end of the day.

Um.... interesting clutch.

Your just weak and cant drive :( .... i can drive it just like a stocka, just takes some getting used to. Its not the clutch so much as the modified pivot fork (me thinks????)

...your sure to see Roy spin at least once trying to keep up with the GTR's! .

Only once? Your too kind....if you dont spin you aint try'n :D Plus it gives all those slow GTRs a chance to catch up ;)

Ok - who needs a SAU Membership for THIS Event? We will be doing most of them at our offical Membership Day in September but I know a few want one for this event.

So far I have as definites:

Adzmax

Ferni

IceSupra.

Anyone else need to get a membership?

Don't strees guys. Andrew and I just had a chat re CAM's membership and all is under controll. I alos need it for the next event so it WILL be done. All forum members needing CAM's for the upcoming P.I. event will need to be present at next weeks General Meeting. We will be taking membership fee's ONLY for people requiring it for CAM's for upcoming events and for NO other reason.

Details -

Date: Tuesday - 17/08

Venue: Whitehorse Hotel

5 Burwood Rd, Hawthorn

Time: 7.30pm

Thread - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=48403

If you can not be present please PM either myself of Andrew so we can organise other arrangements.

Well i have arranged and paid for accomodation. I hope its to everyones liking.

Its a 3 B/room cottage at Woolami about 10min drive from the track. 1 Rm has Q/bed, other 2 rooms each have a bunk with double bottom bunk and single top bunk... so easily 8 ppl total...if proud folk dont want to share bottom bunks then still 6 comfortably without forcing drunk GTR owners into baths and lounges :)

Only thing is we need to bring our own linen. Up to the individual if this is suitable, but i rang 10-12 places and this worked out the best.

I figure it allows for:

- Snowman,

- Ice x 2,

- Roy

- Adzmax (???)

- Skylinegeoff x 2 (???)

- Bepo (???)

A few VBs and ill sleep anywhere so not fussed if i have to forfeit a bed if we have extras :)

Good stuff mate. Still not sure on the one extra but we'll see how the week rolls up.

They guy who arranges never gives up a bed bro. Let's hear no more on that. I was going to check out the Army accomodation down there (we have little cottages and places all over the country and cheap. even at Buller and Hotham) but since you have done a great job already I'll just check for next time.

Meh... its the weekend so ill be looking to drink enough pi55 (responsibly of course) to fall asleep on the floor if need be. Plus im usually the last to bed and dribble sh1t into the wee hours of the morning, so probably best im left on the lounge with only Rage and beer to keep me company :alcoholic

From the rental agreement...

- Holiday House features; 3 Bedrooms, 300m to Safety Beach, 10min walk to licensed general store & Surf Beach.

- Sleeps 8 - Master Bedroom has 1 Queen + Aircon,+TV

- 2 other bedrooms have Bunks (Double-bottom,Single-Top)

- Garage with Remote

- 2 reverse cycle aircons/Heater, Well equipped kitchen, Microwave, Washing Machine & Dryer, BBQ, TV, DVD player, Freezer, Hairdryer

- Linen can be supplied if required (additional fee).

Its $130 per night. So if whoever stays throws in $25-30 (depending on numbers) ill stock up on some munchies and drinks for the place. I see a big BBQ beign a goer for the Friday or Saturday night.

Just let me know if you need a bed Fri & Sat or just the Saturday etc etc

Great job Roy. I'll be ok thou, as i'm bringing a few friends down and were filling up a mates holiday house also at Woolami.

So all that's left to do then is organise a cruise down there. I will be heading down Friday night regardlessly. Anyone got ideas on meeting points. Leaving times?

I won't need accom... have commitments friday night, so i'll just drive down sat morning, its only an hour anyway.

I'll probably only be there for the saturday practice, may come back on the sunday to watch the timed runs on sunday...

whos going to be in which days?

From the city it tok me a little over 2 hrs, so if im taking the very long way i want to be following someone a little more clued in then me.

Im paid up for both days... :Bang:

Scotsman...thats cool, i wasnt sure on numbers so i though it best we just a place to be sure...your in Woolami as well, this place is in Panorama Drive... i hope you can at least come over Friday night for a few drinks and the BBQ. :)

Whatever the general consensus is on driving down im good with that. I live in Brunswick so just give mem enough headstart to catch you folk as i understand you all live south of me.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
