2001 R34 GTR M-Spec #185

The time has come for me to let go of my beloved 2001 R34 GTR M-Spec. The car was originally imported in 2009 by Dominic Russo from Autostyle Prestige Beverly Hills for a good friend of mine. I later purchased it from him in 2014 with 58xxx km’s on the clock and she currently sits on 59xxx km’s. The car has been sitting in the “ManCave” ever since. I simply have not enjoyed her as much as I should.

Here is a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine factory manufactured Nissan R34 GTR M-Spec (luxury edition). Limited number produced in total of 228 units. Car has been checked through GTR registry and is confirmed as follows:

M-Spec #185

Date: 2001-11

Colour: WV2 Sparkling Silver

Factory Options: Privacy Glass, Cold Weather Package, Leather Seats (Front Heated Seats), M-Spec Suspension (Special Ripple Control Damper System), SatNav & 6 Speakers.

The car is relatively standard with the only modifications being an exhaust, KOYO radiator, turbo timer, Nismo shift knob & instrument cluster 320km. Those who have seen the car in the flesh, especially the SAU members who know me will tell you what I’m like as a collector and can attest to the genuine quality of this rare model R34 GTR. This car is immaculate in every way & is in showroom condition. Vehicle comes with 1 year rego and 2 original R34 GTR keys with remote. Please note: The Volk Rays TE37 wheels pictured are not for sale. The R34 GTR M-Spec comes with the 19" Racing Hart RS451 wheels.

Location: Sydney

Price: $109,888

PM me for further details.

UPDATE: It has recently come to my attention that my good friend (the previous owner/ 1st owner in Australia) and I have both been victims of Import Car Odometer Tampering. We have recently been notified by the Japanese Car History Check company that the mileage of the car is in fact higher then the one stated to us by the people at Auto Style Prestige in Beverly Hills back in 2009. The previous owner/ 1st owner in Australia was told it had 36700Km on the original speedo when it left the store. Since owning it, he has managed to put on 21529Km. Addition to my low 900Km mileage, this should bring it to a total of 59xxxKm. Long story short...

New news: Japanese Car History Check report showed 91495Km when it left Japan so 114xxxKm turns out to be the correct current mileage.
Good News: Price has been adjusted accordingly. My lost is your gain. The prices in Japan for these rare models have gone through the roof. $120,000 Minimum if you can find one in this condition. This is the cheapest R34 GTR M-spec available in the country. $99,888 FIRM.

Oooophhh...my 33R used to belong to the owner of Auto Style...probably suffered a similar fate :(

Still, I always say judge an import by the condition and health of the engine as the odometer reading means very little especially dealing with 15+ year old cars!

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
