Howdy,

I purchased a cruise control module from Audio Express in 2014, who installed it, however now, whenever the accelerate pedal does anything while in cruise control it send the car into limp mode.

Since Chris is no longer at audio express and doesnt accept messages, does anyone have any idea how to fix it? Or did i burn nearly $800 for temporary cruise control?

You might have blown the fuse of the cruise controler or a bad earth

His cruise control is working so fuse is intact, the installation is interfering with inputs to his ECU or TCU hence why diagnostics should start with consult, then you have a starting point and NOT a guessing point

The CC I have in mine basically splices into the throttle pedal sensor, so the CC just simulates the throttle input, if yours is the same, then I suspect either the CC unit is faulty, or the wiring harness used by the CC has bad connections.

Mine went into limp mode on hard right turns at one point and it turned out to be a bad crimp on the CC harness, I removed the connectors and soldered all the connectors and the problem never occurred again.

    • I'll bite. I no longer own any euro's, but I thought I'd share two of my favorites I owned. My 500hp B5 S4 and my 800HP E55 AMG. Yes I did attempt to drive the E55 in Canadian winters, that lasted all of a month as it was a death trap.
    • To be fair this is the wife’s car. However, I have been accused of owning more cars than I have pairs of undies. Luckily I change my undies more frequently than the cars.
    • Cheers Lads Looking at changing up a few things maybe go 2.8lt, bigger injectors with more a modern Turbo. Possibly transbrake and convert to E85 with Haltech ECU. Any thoughts on those Mods changes or better ideas? Want to try keep the car Street/Strip While also being weekend drivable still.
