this thread took me all day to read through (while working)

matt32 that carpark looks familiar is that gungahlin carpark under aldi>?

I have a recently acquired r33 series 1 gtst stock really, pod , bov and cat back exhaust.

Ive been down the whole modding road and it was a very bumpy road for myself, i had a soarer with a single hks 30/37 external gate the whole works, tricked up auto. nothing but problems with the car from day 1 really. But trojan ended up sorting me out (wish i went there to start with) but by the time i got it back i was already sick of it :teehee: sad story i know.

But good to see the skyline crowd are more active then the ACT soarer crowd.

Hi Guys,

I've been reading for a while usually come here when I need advice! Thought it was time I said hello and posted up a piccy of my pride and joy!

1989 R32 GTR

White with white sparcos

Tein coilovers (and a heap of other repair work to the suspension)

Apexi Power FC

Apexi Power FC Boost Controller

Apexi Pod Filters

Turbo back exhaust (pretty old possibly Apexi but needs replacing anyways)

Garrett 2860-7 turbos

Stereo wise it's got a JVC Headunit that was in it when I got it - plan to rip it out soon cause it's rubbish.

Boston Accoustic 6" splits, some crappy rear fillers, 12" Alpine sub, Apline V12 amp powering the sub and a Soundstream Little Wonder powering the front and rears...

The list of what I want to do is obviously much bigger than the one I have done! An engine rebuild will be on the cards at some point but at the moment at 18psi she dynos at 300rwkw and at my daily drive level of 15psi its at 280rwkw.

It's taken a while for me to actually post but it's good to see I get plenty of waves from friendly Skyline drivers around Canberra!

Hi

300rwkw's seams like a lot for a standard bottem end, How often do you drive it at 18psi?

I know they are a tuff motor i have detroyed one myself. how long before you want to do a rebuild?

Congrats on a clean GTR, you should make sure you get it to some track days or hill climbs.

LOL I don't because that would be a bit silly! Was bad enough blowing a turbo, let alone the engine  Currently it's at 15psi.

Well that depends, I'm hoping towards the end of the year or early next year. Maybe earlier, depends on how well I save up. To stop with his crazy wife's nagging hubby has let us set up a "GTR Fund"!

Thanks. Definately keen for some track days. What's the deal with these hill climb things?

And yep that's me that parks at Russell, cheers!

Hey guys,

I have been on the forum for a while now and I have come to some of the events. Some of you may know me. Big guy, I'm usually hanging around with ZCR.

Well I used to drive a BMW 328i Coupe and well, I was to embaressed to post that up here.

My current car is a 1996 Toyota JZX100 Chaser Manual Pear White. I have had the car for just over a week now and I'm loving it.. At the momeny it is pretty much stock except for the exhaust, pod filter, turbo timer and boost gauge. I got Scott at Dyno Tune Belconnen to put it on the dyno last Wednesday and it put out 155rwkw.

Now before anyone complains, I know its not a skyline.. or even a Nissan. Its not my fault that Nissan never made any sports cars that I can fit into.

Below are some pictures.

Cheers

Nerm
