If you saw something worth taking a photo/video of on the streets in Japan, then post it here (pretty please? 🥹)!

To get things rolling, an absolutely millimetre perfect restored 1st gen VW Golf on BBS RS with gold bolts and from what I could see, an immaculate interior. Was at an intersection and the lights turned green so only got one photo

Dang. What would that be worth there?

Funny you should ask... 😁 $200K according to this for a 'practically new' one:

I'm not sure what I was expecting but I guess this doesn't seem *too* bad.

This one isn't "on the street" per se, but it was on the street just prior to the photos being taken.....

Mitsuoka Nouera, based on a CL7 Honda Accord. It was in the carpark of the Hanshin Nishinomiya train station "Ebista" shopping mall. I'd say they are very rare compared to other Mitsuoka models.

Yikes. That might do well in the Automotive Abominations thread!

Indeed.
Mitsuoka always did their magic on various Nissan models, but because the Nouera was going to be in the medium sized sedan class, they decided not to try and modify the 2004 P12 Nissan Primera because it looked too modern combined with the 1940's styling. It would contrast way too much so they went with the more suitable CL7 Accord... 😆

A Dodge Challenger and two Chrysler 300Cs with straight pipes making lots of noise just over from the Ebisubashi (Ebisu bridge)

I wonder if this guy is a F1  Paddock Club member and did laps at the Suzuka GP last year after the Porsche Cup sessions? Car looks exactly the same as what was on the circuit. It spun out at the hairpin and did a huge 180 deg burnout to get going again. Good to watch (and hear!)

This one's got me stumped. It's a Mercedes Benz TN/T1 310D high roof, but I can't find any mention in Japanese sources  about it as a OEM Mitsubishi model. Any more info?

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
