Hello,

 

My name if Frederick, i'm 30 years old and I live in Belgium, Europe!
I used to have a Nissan 370z daily but since I got a company car I turned that into my seattime driftcar.
About 3 years ago I also wanted something older with more feel, so I got an R32 GTST with an rb26 engine.

I am now getting the rb built to have around 800hp and it's close to being finished.
I'm very excited for how it will drive and how driveable it will be!

This is the LCA mount reloctaion kit. Self explanatory in its description.

These are the alloy subframe bush inserts that I am using. I like them.

I would also higly recommend that you look into adjustable RUCAs and tension rods, so you can sort out the camber and bump steer behaviour, especially if the car will be any more than ~15mm lower than stock.

I would also highly recommend the GKTech FUCAs, although you really should do some research and learning on the subjetc of R32 FUCAs before making any decisions.

All of this will be criticaly difficult to get through a TÜV inspection too, if that happens to be relevant to you.

Note that if you do install the relocation kit, you will absolutely have to replace the associated bushes with spherical joints (you can read all about that on the product page) or upgrade the LCAs also.

That's crazy helpful!
i'll be ordering both the poly bushings and the weld in kit.

In Belgium the technical inspection can be ever more difficult than TUV, but with oldtimers (30+years old) they allow more so it should be ok I think, i'll check with some friends who work there. :)

regarding the FUCA, RUCA & tension rods, i've been learning alot about all the suspension components for my driftcar, but I should probably invest some time in how they should be set up for a grip car instead of the opposite. 😛

Plenty of people I knew who drifted set their cars up more for grip than traditional "drift", and then just added LOTS of power. Gave them more control, and bigger smoke shows. :D

Hope you had a great time here in our tiny country. :) 
The JDM scene we have here is quite small, it's mostly BMW, Volkswagen with burble tunes haha.
But the few JDM cars we do have in the scene are pretty nice. Some of my friends drive cool s14's too. :)

Both built engines, red one makes abt 500, blue one abt 400 i think?

    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want. 
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue. 
    • Ive converted a few clusters for the R33 with 320km/h dials. On the back there are some pads which can be bridged or unbridged (using solder or wick braid) to calibrate it. There is one bridge which is for MPH <> KPH; and there are combinations of bridges to offset it. There is probably a diagram  For example; this is my conversion for a 180km/h dial to a 320km/h dial (I put custom GT-R dials on it with the GTS25t layout) If you have J2 soldered (assuming the S clusters have a similar config to the R clusters); you may need to remove that solder
    • Back on topic 😉, these are some of the notable pages from the booklets that are supplied with each weekly parts update. I never knew the BNR32 test mule car had an S13 Silvia front end... *Edit: On closer inspection the test car still had the R32 body, but only the front end had Silvia panels etc.
