My wheels are Desmond Regamaster 17x8JJ +32 (with 3mm spacer) 215/45/17 front, 17x9JJ +35 245/40/17 rear. As you can see in the last pic, the caliper clearance was about 1mm without the spacers, so a 3mm spacer was put on just to be sure there'd be no contact.

Special thanks to: Troy (Evo_Lee) and my lovely wife for helping me screw those Regamasters on in the Autobacs carpark.... 2,000 yen saving! Cheers guys!!! :)

Looking good mate, pity I didn't have the camera with me yesterday along the Wangan. We had a good run yesterday, I see you have a few Nascar moves there :P.
Hehehe... pity the fun stopped at 185km/h!!!! Damn speed limiter!!!
Justin,

congrats are getting the car sorted :( Good choice with the rims - the black wheels suit the car, it looks proper mean :P

Looking forward to going on some runs in the not too distant future ;)

Thanks Dave

I've just been talking to Kayo about driving out to your place... but I just can't convince her that Yamanashi isn't near downtown Tokyo! She seems to think that if we drive out there it's almost like driving to Tokyo, which she doesn't want to do until the Auto Salon!!! Any ideas on how I can convince her? We might be able to head over in the first few weeks of September btw.

good buy rezz :(

whats the plans mate making a monster or just a little fun?

Thanks Jimbo... 400hp @ the engine, or whatever number Evo_Lee can produce with his Evo 5... can't have him beating me around corners AND on the straights!!! :P

Justin, time to head up to Rokko for a drive and see how she handles the twisties or up through Takarzuka :P...there is also a nice dam just past Sanda.

You working Saturday? I'll be heading down to AB 43 to buy a new turbo heat sheild I saw there last time, the one I have now is starting to rust away badly.

LOL...400ps is a nice figure for the street. I thought the old girl kept up pretty well on the Wangan last weekend. Or was it the fright I may have gave Kayo on the way home, I didn't think you were just in front when you said you were JUST in front (I was caught up at the last 2 set of lights by slow traffic). The mango shake was too tasty...and before I noticed the stove tops holding in the left lane I had already overshot...ekkk! The lane in front of me was clear from way back though.

Dave, Justin's Skyline is going into the workshop for some panel work and rust repair, so I think mid September would be the earliest.

Justin/Troy,

I'm back in England for the first couple of weeks in Sept, so it'll have to be after that. Yamanashi is a fair way from Tokyo - it's around 120KM from my place to Shinjuku...still it's a long journey for you guys coming from Osaka. I you can arrange to do some sight seeing - the Fuji five lakes, Fuji, the Skyline museum in Nagano and maybe the hankone skyline too, then it'd make the trip more worthwhile...

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
