If you like video games as much as I do, you'll no doubt be anticipating this game. In my opinion, Gran Turismo 3 is the best driving game ever, and this can only be better.

My main gripe with GT3 is the lack of older cars. This has been fixed in GT4, and members of this forum will be pleased to know that it includes the DR30(and possibly the K/PCG10 GT-R as well).

I mainly started this thread so I could post these pictures, discuss.

Open 24hrs....and no covercharge anytime :P

I've played GT3...never seen it myself but quite a number of people have told me the KPGC10 makes an appearance in GT3 as a silver car with black watanabes (Hmmmm...now who has one of those? :( ). The previous owner was suprised by younger kids recognising the car when on display at Autosalon? in Melbourne, and talking about the car from GT3. Come to think of it I have seen a blue and white race version (like famous No.15) in Gran Turismo...that long ago it may have been GT2. Anyone help out here?

But yeah! I'm with you, can't wait to have a bash at the 4th version. I'm actually working on a dedicated rally seat, PS2, analogue wheel and monitor to enhance the experience.

On that point (HIJACK ALERT!) any recommendations for wheel and pedal sets for use with the PS2?

Cheers,

Jim.

You will not be disapointed with the new logitech wheel that was designed for GT4. I have it and have played GT4 Prologue and the feeling is so "right" the extra turning radius it provides lets you feel like driving instead of playing a game. It is a bit steep though($300) but the force feedback and feel is unbelievable!

Gday all, im new to this forum, but when i saw the GT series was the topic of conversation i thought id pipe up.

Gt4 will be out in december around christmas if were really lucky! It was sposed to be released in early november, but the deadlines have slipped in perfectig the game [it could easily slip that december release date, but hey as long as its good]. Also, as announced late last month, gt4 will not be shipping with online play, a HUGE dissapointment as the potential of racing against people from around the world IN the gran turismo world is phenomenal. The reason was due to the constraints of international networking, but personally i think this is hogwash - later down the track an online version may be released. However, the game will problably still be one of the greatest racing games ever and i am thoroughly looking forward to it!

And, just to re-enforce lachlans point, i completled gt3 100% and there was definetley no kpgc10/110 skyline or any other classic skyline derivative, however, it would be great to see all of the first three generations of GTR's in this new version, possibly even the s54 gtb!

Tom

I can't wait to try the Nurburgring!!!!

One thing I thought they'd fix was the wheels... they all *still* look very 2D. Have a look at the way they did the wheels on Battle Gear 3 and you'll know what I mean.

in the way of old cars that was about it for the nissan line and maybe the AE86 or someother 50bhp beasts....

the ultimate would be tuning houses as rewards veilside,HKS,A'pexi and Garrett to name a few, some of thier parts there for you to test on your make of car.....

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
