I'm heading back and forward each week if you want me to drop it off to them

You know them i spose?

Sydneys a big place, as long as its not going out of your way.... that would be awesome!

When do you go back?

I hope you have those Aloe tissues. Bit stinky but sooo much nicer on the nose and much less of the red raw rash. :/

Yeah I wish I did :( When I venture out of the house (which won't be today) I'll get some. They're great!

pm sent Mik.

Shell...sounds like man flu. harden up.

Hey, see how I'm not even calling it a flu? Just a mere cold. Don't have to exaggerate my illness like males.... ohhhhh I have a sniffle, must be the flu! No, if it was the flu, you wouldn't be moving :P

Copped some mad road rage.

Had some bloke tailgate me and then try ram my car off the road tonight.

He got in front of me and slammed his brakes on until we came to a complete stop. I was scared shitless and smashed it in first gear and took off. Didn't want to break the speed limit so he caught up fairly quickly and tried multiple times to ram me off the road. At one stage I was driving on the medium strip trying to make sure he didn't hit my car.

I think I may have cut him off when I pulled out to overtake, first I knew of it was when he pulled up beside me and started yelling.

Couldn't even call the police because he was trying to ram the car and I didn't want to take my eyes off the road.

I ended up darting off on one of the exits along tuggers park way at the last minute so he couldn't follow. Didn't get his number plate either because I was so scared.

One hint is that PayPal will ALWAYS address you by your full name.

Also there was no chance I was going to pull over. The guy looked like a lunatic and I could see him being extremely aggressive.

I reported it to the police just in case someone else noticed the incident and reported it.

That is Farqued! What kind of car was he in?

Must've been Hatin' on the old Series 1. :P

I had a guy years ago pull up in front of me and get out with a Beer Bottle in his hand.

Reckoned I flew up his arse like an Eagle. He was pissed by both definitions.

Luckily I somehow talked him down... Kents are Scarey.

    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
    • This IS something you also have to configure in Haltech (or at least I did in the past when going from onboard-to-ECU map sensor and an external MAP sensor in haltech land).
    • I'm hoping it's something as simple as the ECU is looking for an external MAP sensor, but he is trying to use the onboard MAP sensor.
    • You won't need to do that if your happy to learn to tune it yourself. You 100% do not need to do that. It is not part of the learning process. It's not like driving on track and 'finding the limit by stepping over the limit'. You should not ever accidently blow up an engine and you should have setup the ECU's engine protection to save you from yourself while you are learning anyway. Plenty of us have tuned their own cars, myself included. We still come here for advice/guidance/new ideas etc.  What have you been doing so far to learn how to tune?
    • Put the ECU's MAP line in your mouth. Blow as hard as you can. You should be able to see about 10 kPa, maybe 15 kPa positive pressure. Suck on it. You should be able to generate a decent vacuum to about the same level also. Note that this is only ~2 psi either way. If the MAP is reading -5 psi all the time, ignition on, engine running or not, driving around or not, then it is severely f**ked. Also, you SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING IT WITHOUT A LOAD REFERENCE. You will break the engine. Badly.
