Hi Steve-SST,

I have an RB25 with ARIAS pistons, Linished, Shot Peened and Cryo Tempered Rods, HKS GT 3040, HKS topmount manifold, PFC, Tomei Poncams 256/9, 550cc Sards, Greddy/Trust Plenum, Ported Head Iski valves prings, Micks MC bar & plate cooler 100mm, E-Boost and Trust Type R W/G 45mm, Q45 Throttle Body, Q45 AFM, 90mm Fujitsubo Exhaust, 90mm dump & very hi flow cat.

Max I could get out of it was 330rwkw @ 21 PSI. (DD Dyno in shootout mode - do a search and you will find the dyno graph I posted)

Since my car is very similar spec to Pauls and Magics -

If I change from PFC to Wolf - am I gonna get 50 rwkw increase ???

 Cheers !

/edit  = PS I run 118 mph (18PSI) - but I am CRAP at drag racing :)

What 50rwkw???

Yours is 330rwkw which is 442rwhp which is the same as Magics run on the DD dyno. His 511rwhp is the different hub dyno which the yanks use. So a change to a Wolf will bring you 0rwkw increase.

The Drags will tell the tale eh TJ, GOTBOOST will cause the next round when we post Seans next 1/4 times loaded with china made parts on stock motor and injectors.

Seans car will do a 10, maybe a 9. its a brilliant effort for someone who built that car from scratch at home. Seans also one of the nicest guys out, and were all rooting for him to get the time. Tristan likewise, he is a champ and one of antilag.com's more cherished members. he just isnt as well known.

last warning guys. stop baiting each other with stupid and immature comments.

Anything i deem to be off topic will see a warning handed out.

Buster - you should know better, why post something like that?

im trying to let this discussion go but some of you are taking it knowingly too far

Magic1 got 511rwhp at a dyno comp at the WA Salon, enough to win his class at the event. He wins a prize. He did it with an wolf and stock injectors. End of story really. His car is quite fast. A terminal of 120mph is not always going to correspond to a 'dyno' reading in shootout mode, due in a large part to the fact that a dyno cannot replicate the track environment or the odd bad day for a driver or a set of dirty plugs etc.

His car has a engine setup that on paper should be able to produce 500 flywheel hp on a good day without too much fuss, can't see much controversy about that. The standard injector thing is interesting, there is a way of getting more fuel in to do the job (appart from fuel pressure) can anyone guess?

Why people get worked up over dyno print outs beats me. The dyno is a great tuning tool, go in increase the power from where you started and your happy. Dyno sheets work better as toilet paper than something to compare my car with someone elses, I couldn't care less. However I'm often interested to hear about people having success in tuning their cars from a general veiw of engine characteristics that show up in the dyno's measurements.

The post stands it did make 511 on Speedworks dyno and as Tristan said read the following posts and you will find out what it made in shootout.

Speedworks claim their dyno is the only one thats right i think our dyno is but you guys make up your own mind.

Roy Robinsons s13 ran 11.02 and makes about 440hp on the Speedworks dyno..

now lets do it the drag method..

using the drag calculator on ray halls site found at

http://www.turbofast.com.au/Drag.html

roughly roys car will more than likely tip in at 1250kg with him in it..

lets convert that to pounds at 2.20462 pounds per kilo..

2755.775 pounds...

choosing the find HP option, we put in the weight, 2755.775, punch in the et, 11.02, and click calc..

406.87 hp..

seems pretty close to me steve...

lets see what Tristians car runs shall we..

Interesting thread to say the least...

Firstly congrats to magic1, you have yourself a solid power figure there, that is a fact. It's obvious steve-sst is shit stirring, but sydneykid isn't stupid enough take the bait, i don't see him posting any crap. It's evident that steve-sst likes to use customer cars to promote his shop and the wolf; eg, nd4spd, gotboost, gtstvspec, rob77(until things went bad) it's funny how when things go bad its kept quiet, or always blamed on a mechanical failure, not tuning. what about the many other customer rb25dets that have melted? magic1's car is just being used to put sst in the spotlight, i bet this thread was created without even consulting him.

These type of 'workshop promo cars' are usually tuned with 500% more care than your average customer car, because it represents the workshop to an extent. At the end of the day this thread was made to create interest for sst workshop, getting your attention with such a high power figure, using only stock injectors. steve-sst had this well thought out, and knew that it would create a big debate, if he kept his little trick a secret.

As Jay95 has said, isn't this forum to share knowledge of Skylines? If this thread is just to promote the workshop it should simply be closed because this is poor. There can be no other reason to post this power figure, and then keep this technique a secret, other than to expose this workshop and the ecu. I personally don't care how they did it, im not even chasing that sort of power.

Threads like these do not benefit your average user at all, they simply confuse them. If it was as simple as, "use a fuel pressure regulator with your stock injectors and your fuel system will support 511rwhp, like mine did!" thread, then that would be informative, but as far as i can see, this is pointless.

I connected a set of standard injectors to my washing machine and gave it a 100% duty cycle burst of preen on the spin cycle....there was signs of detonation in my undies only...but damn they come out clean.....thats about the best thing i have acheived using standard injectors...hope this helps

i spoke to soon....the detonation was all too much and its since given up the ghost....it seems to have burnt out my bigend leaving severe scorch marks in the lower half on my undies......unable to be rebuilt, sandblasted or built up with stitching....looks like i have to get a cheap low klm import pair of undies(hopefully from a japanese school girl :)) ah well....thats the price you pay for living on the edge.....

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
