basically for the large cicuit we have a max of 60 should be huge

im exited have some flyers for the day that i made that are 4000000% funny

man i have an ugly head

cmon you know you want to ;)  pick up a helmet from a motorcycle shop they are pretty cheap

We ll see how broke I am at that stage :P) I also need the air filter and the pedals, cant heel and toe with the stock pedals at all...

I got my helmet for $200 but I know you can get them for $150 new and given the money people spend on their cars it's hardly a major expense. As for needing pedals to go to a track day :uhh:. Lame.

Sorry if I sound harsh but I think we've got to get people into the habit of 'taking it to the track' so I'm just giving you a friendly kick up the arse. :P

hahah just need some practice, I can assure you its possible to heal and toe on stock skyline pedals :)

And not directed at you, but generally....

I have read at least 50 times in the last 4 days "keep it on the track". Was everyone just repeating what they thought they were meant to say, or do they really mean it?

This is one of the *cheapest* track days I have seen, and there will be experienced drivers on hand to help with tips.

What will it take to get people off the road and onto the track.

I got flamed in a friendly fashion ... i guess .... :) What i m saying is that i m more than willing to go, but before i do i need to the above mentioned things like the helmet and the pedals. Simple as that. And i wasnt making excuses. So :)

As per heel and toeing. I had aftermarket pedal caps on my laser and the brake was very dead on it, i.e. you can pump it up and down without noticing much effect on the car. So that was pretty easy. The skyline pedals have a different brake to accelerattor level than i used to. So the effect is i am there trying to heel and toe with my foot absolutely retarded and the nose going up and down and the revs not moving at all coz i cant reach it. Hehe. neways... I ll get it sorted.

Fatz, whats the charge if my gf wants to take the lady for a spin around the track? Does she need to pay another 150 or just a passenger fee?

I'm in. I'll even make the drive from Wagga (like 4 hours) just to come. So there is no way any other members should have an excuse.

How many guys usually turn up for these things?

Hey bring arm85 with you, you guys can do a wagga->syd trackday cruise :)

Neil, get used to running that rotor in, you'll need to do it again every time you blow it up :(

Speaking of which it looks unlikely teh gtr will be rolling by then, will have to bring along something else ;)

Igor, passengers are welcome, there is a small fee to cover the insurance about $30 I think.

Neil you sneaky bastard!! when are you taking it out???

Tosh find me some more track time to run it in and I'll be there. :D;):)

Um Duncan so when will the yellow piece of crap be ready,,,,June/July???. In the mean time I'll be having fun racing and you'll be holding the video. :headspin: :headspin: :headspin:

Neil.

    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
