im sure uve all seen it... does anyone have one in Australia yet?

Not with the running gear... ive seen one of the 240RS's already... the actual R34 GTR Front end? Does anyone in Australia have one yet?

I ask because my gf is in need of something new as the soarer doesnt suit her needs anymore... we looked at a stagea today at the dealerships... it was a 97 model.. lowish ks... pretty stock and only 18k.

Thats pretty cheap and i was thinking about importing the R34 GTR front end conversion for it if she does end up getting it to do something a little different. altho im sure knowing my gf she will change her mind again and get something like a Jazz.

incase u dont know what im talking about...

I do believe skyline imports already has a masa kit, compliance plates for cars that already have a masa kit on it, and a mould of the masa kit. But yeah it's probably cheaper to get it put on in japan, as masa's not the only one that does that kit now.

I dunno about skyline import's moulds, last time they tried to do the kakimoto R33 kit, instead of adjusting the wheels with a castor kit so that they didn't rub against the tyre well, they modified the kit so the wheel arch was further back.

They have the kit up to $10,000 fitted was the last quote I was given off them, they are not legal due to the fibrelass Guards and the cars they have converted would be shitty stagea's which needed a re-spray.

We are working on full repo guards out of steel.

yeah i know of the MASA ones... like mmonkey said theres a few places in Japan doing it at them at the moment. Problem is i would have to get it shipped as my gf wants a car thats already here in the country so i wont be able to put it on in japan.

so what would u basically need?

-Guards

-Lights

-Bonnet

-Bonnet latch

-Bar

that would be about it wouldnt it?

the hardest thing to get would probably be the guards as u would have to manufacture up ones that fit on the stagea and that the lines flow through the whole car... you couldnt just cut the front of it to fit the lights could you?

and bumper support, the rest of the brackets you should be able to fabricate using pieces of steel

Why don't you just get standard GTR guards (metal), and fit them to the stagea, if they're too long, shorten them, and then blend it with bog. If they're too short, add more with fibreglass. Surely that's gonna cost you waaaaay less than $10,000

inark, there is another thread on the R-34-style front here ...

As per SK's discovery, the R-34 and C-34 guards aren't interchangeable, which rules out Shan (funkymonkey)'s suggestion. I think there was also a mention of a body crease that's on the R-34 that doesn't appear on the C-34, or vice-versa.

They do look hot though, don't they?

mcnamg's photo gallery is GOLD for Stagea pics, as I'm sure all of you will agree...

It's here. Nice work, Glenn! :(

the only thing that you use that isnt genuine or aftermarket r34 gear is the special stagea specific guards which at the moment are frp which is pretty crap if you ask me.

there are also other pics in my gallery showing some other stageas with different kits on them feel free to have a look through them.

thanks for the plug goldzilla ;)

nothings not interchangeable... hell we put an R32 front on a 180sx  (well someone else did for us). All you need to do is make up adapter brackets and probably make extra mounting holes in the chassis (probably will weaken the structure) then you use bog or fibreglass depending on how much needs to be done, to blend the bits together.

Its been done since waaaaay back in the day :D
