Hey guys, I've done a few mods to my R33 now I've got the taste of power, I want more

I want about 250kw at the wheels, without all the lag

What size turbo have people found will do that job

Sex should be like a skyline- Quick obscene and loud enogh for the whole street to hear when you come

So u made 250rwkw @ 17psi with standard ECU, standard injectors, standard afm?

safc2 etc?

oh and my turbo choice would be HKS GT-RS

i didnt say that. The ECU is stock meaning in does have a chip in it but it is not an aftermarket one such as a wolf or a Powerfc. And yes i do have 550cc injectors

the xr6 turbo is pretty big its like a gt30 or 35 or somethin, highly doubtful it bolts straight on to a stock manifold...

sydneykid: so out of the GCG high flow and a HKS 2835s, would u still pick the high flow? im deciding which one to go for, but a few $$ extra (from nengun 2835 is 2500 delivered) would it be worth it?

I decided against the HKS as I wasn't going to pay more money for something I could achieve with a high flow of the standard turbo. Don't get me wrong the HKS GT2835 would be great and I bet would be maybe 5-10% (better then high flowing your standard R33 Turbo but for the money why bother, you could save yourself plenty by going the high flow way and at least you can put that into a better dump or manifold :)

just cos you save money on something does mean you can't spend it on something else the car may need :D

I am currently highflowing my stock turbo to a GT30 standard.. not sure what style like GT3030 or GT3040 but enough to give about 600 odd horsies :)

GCG Ball Bearing high flow, 265 rwkw and more power EVERYWHERE than standard:cheers:

Hi sk.

What about the power delivery of the hi-flow?Do you have any dyno graphs?

If no.How does it compare to a 2530/35 garett or hks.You had tomei poncams as well for that figure to right.

What are the comp housings/exh housing specs of the stock unit high hi flowed.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
