u reckon 300 from a stock gt-r? dreaming mate. comes down to laws of physics and aerodynamics. It mite make it to 270 easily but i doubt she'll have the guts to keep pushing itself to 300. But thats just my pushrod way of thinking.

bits comming off at speed? and you guys complain about holden build quality :) 260kmh steady as a rock nothing falling off haha

summoner is right people, note the revs not the speed as even with a 300 k speedo they are very inaccurate at high speeds.

my brothers r33 gtr was showing 285 kph with revs at 6800 which is actually only 255 kph in reality. which is all that a stock gtr is capable of. 300ks is at damn near 8000 revs.

adam.

Speedo is lying from 0. Even ADS rules allow up to 10% overestimation. Gets even worse if your aftermarket wheels and tyres are not exactly the correct diameter.

Does anyone have definative rpm/speed for skylines?

I have had mine to 250ish (wanted to keep eyes on road). I got 260kph Impul speedo. Back seat passenger told me the speed. Was at red line in 5th. It ran out of gearing to go any faster ie. it accelerates from 100-150 at the same rate as 200-250 (close enough anyway). My car is not standard.

my old car had a P-FC. i got reading of 231 and she definately had more in her. car was slightly unsteady but could have handled an extra 10-20 easy. i didn't push it as it was pitch dark and i wasn't familiar with the road. don't have an rpm figure as the p-fc was set to peak and i would have reached a higher value in a lower gear.

adrian, it was on the way back from the gong one night. prank was with me and someone else but can't exactly recall who.

Last time I checked - supra's weren't rev limited to 5600rpm!

I think you'll find that's a gm v8 of some sort... Camaro perhaps?

    • Crazy how good the aero bar looks compared to the stock one
    • Yes, but you will need to rewire all the things that are different. CAS, coils, etc. Yes, but there is no IAT. What? You can use anything you like. It just has to be hooked up so that it will work.     Or are you wanting to just plug and play without having to do any thinking/work?
    • It's been a little over a decade since I bought the S15. As I did on my socials, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from over the years further below. If you haven't realised, pretty much all the pictures in my posts are ones I've taken.  In terms of updates, I don't have pictures, but I acquired a near-perfect pair of fog lights from a friend of mine, so those got swapped in for the pair I already had. As for the JZX110, I just got it back from being fixed. A few weeks back, I was on the highway when I suddenly drove over something with very little time to react. It was probably the size of a soccer ball, but it went under the car and banged into the underside pretty loudly. I pulled over and realized the fluid leaking was fuel, and of course, it was right near my exhaust. This required replacing the fuel tank. If you happen to be in the same predicament, thankfully this car shares a fuel tank with the JZS171, IS200, and IS300, so it wasn't too painful to replace. Enjoy some pictures as mentioned above, including the carnage from the fuel tank and a bonus picture I came across which shows how ridiculously shiny the Bugels are on the 110. So many more pictures I could share of the S15 but this will do for today, enjoy.
    • Welcome.  Was the mistake the car, or joining us? 😏
    • Yeap, was me and the daughter getting coffee before heading to the new joint to measure up the fridge space and taking some pics that the solar installer wanted of the switch board
