Hi guys, Had a good run home without a drama. Just want to thank you all for a fabulous weekend, and it was for sure one of the best weekends i can remember. The Supersprint was a pure adrenelin rush. Where else can you lay rubber and floor the accelerator and drive as fast as sanely possible with NO WORRIES. The Hillclimb....well exciting and real "Heart in the mouth" stuff. All in all just a fantastic weekend and can't wait for another motorsport weekend like that.

Once again it was great meeting you all and look forward to our next meeting.

Ian :D

yeh Fantastic Weekend :P The track wasn't as daunting as I expected it to be... was plenty of room and plenty of grip

definately looking forward to next year!!!! OHH YEH

can't wait for the results from the BLCC

PICS PICS PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

Was a great weekend guys and good to meet some new ppl and be able to put faces to names. I am there for sure next time round and will also keep u guys posted on the hillclimbs down here at huntley for anyone interested.

Cheers

Scott

P.S I was great to see the whole weekend run so smoothly without any damage or major problems.

OK...well done to everyone that competed on the weekend....

Our first time racers Scott and Steve did well in their first outing, its a hell of a place to run your first race :D And neither of you was shy either....

Ian, big thumbs up for your efforts, you were really up that car all weekend, I think you were probably pushing the hardest out of everyone from the sound those tyres were making....just gotta get some good ones and you'll be even further up the order

Mark, you're a poof for thinking about the 4 door :P the 2 door sounded and went great...you just need more boost :D

Tosh, well done, if I saw correctly you had the fastest time from the club on the hillclimb.

Ray, SK and SoSK, Honda boyz, good to catch up with you all there, don't forget to send the form in Ray :P And it was great to meet Sydneykid and SoSK in the flesh for a beer (or scotch and coke)

Also thanks to Zebbie and Bill for organising the dinner and heading along to support us out there, it was a good weekend.

I would have loved to hit the track, but hitting the beers was the next best thing.

The only real down side was the $700 odd that club members donated to the Bathurst highway patrol :slap: to you two....and of course thanks to the local businesses for providing "special" prices to the sydneysiders :D

Pics are coming tommoz

An 8min (9mb) vid of about 100 runs is here: http://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/Bathurst2004.wmv

haha yeh needs to go quicker and I need more practice on it.....

suspension first before more power me thinks

I really want to see if I can take that VB corner in 3rd and still come out of it with some decent revs... DAMN RAIN!! If I can pull 4th before the line I'll be laughing

God I remember that event. I did it 16 years ago in a twin cooper S engined GoGo mobile. I did not know it was still running. The funny thing is that there was a blue torana Sports sedan in Duncan's video that looks like my old car.....ahh memories....I need to get back on the track:wassup:

    • I thought Australia got rid of the "drag dodgy fuel up to 91 RON with ethanol", which is why all E10 advertise as "up to 94 RON" ? Anyway I put E10/91 in the missus' Mazda because she empties the tank weekly, when all my cars get 98RON. tl;dr - turbo - 98 RON, if you can't afford that, sell it and get a commuter car (or tune your car for 91, which no one does).
    • Yeah i found that alot of parts can be wrong or "very" hard to get the real right one. I already bought some brakes years ago on me "old" GT calipers and they were wrong too 😄  I told them too. Even send them pictures...but they said "EBC catalogue has them on my car... So i dont know what their answer will be. I call monday them and let them know that they are really not on my car. If they were they would be already on a car...
    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
