Hello,

My dad is considering selling his 4" Titanium Exhaust. It is a full system from the firewall back with proper flange etc to suit a R32 GTR, might fit normal R32 not sure?? Anway it has no cats so thats the reason we had to pull it of. It aslo has an apexi valve controller on it. It has a valve which can be closed to reduce the sound levels inside the cabin a small lever.

If your interested please email me at [email protected] and we can discuss prices.

JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW WE ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY, A 4" MANDREL EXHAUST COSTS AROUND $2500 UPWARDS SO PLEASE MAKE REASONABLE OFFERS.

Cheers Daniel

Yeah I can get a pic will take me a day or so.

Custom made by START Racing in Japan, not an of the shelf kit. When it was taken of by BRADDON exhaust they said it was one of the best welding jobs they had ever seen.

OFFERS??

Sorry dudes I appologise for not posting the price as its my dads. Will get him to post up the price as he is now a member god help us all.

Its not an of the shelf item thou like a TRUST etc its all custom made by START Racing.

Anyway I will shoot him an email and see if he wants to show his face on the site and post a price.

It also has the valve thingmy jigy in it so it would be great when it comes to going past the cops, just pull the lever and BAM your car sounds like a hyundai excel he he he he

You posted the for sale - so you post a price. I have someone interested but f**ked if I can be arsed with 15 year olds using dads computer to sell car parts that arent his.

JK

There are several issues here;

1. You are not the seller, only the seller can post

2. You haven't put up a price that you will definitley sell it for

3. If you want an auction go to Ebay

4. It has no cat provision, so it is illegal to use on a road car. Anybody who buys it will have the same problem as you. The max fine is like $20K, so be careful.

5. It takes a pretty decent engine to need a 4" exhaust. I have seen 400 rwkw out of a 3.25" exhaust, so the market for a 4" is pretty small.

6. If you put a 4" exhaust on an engine that can't use it, it will simply create more noise and make less power at the same time due to low exhauts velocity.

7. Being titanium, it is not easy to find someone who can modify it to take a cat. Plus titanium welders don't grow on trees, like mild or stainless welders.

8. Titanium exhausts had a premium price a couple of years ago, they are a bit "so what" now. I can buy a new, nice one for $1400 (one that's legal).

Personally I believe a used one, that requires mods to make it legal, is probably worth ~$700 to ~$1,000. If your dad wants more than that then "tell him he is dreaming" (to quote a popular film).

  • 2 weeks later...

It's pretty obvious that not one person who has replied is interested in buying a 4" Titanium Exhaust to suit R32 GTR. Otherwise they would have sent a pm. Can people please keep their 20 cents for church.

MYSHY32: For the last time, either post a price immediately, or I will close the thread.

You have been asked several times already - asking for "offers" isnt acceptable

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
