Ok guys is everyone happy to meet at the Bunnings in Cranbourne, corner South Gipsland Hwy and Thompsons Road at 8pm (Melways Ref 129 H9)?

I suggest we aim for meet up at 8pm leave by 8:30pm.

If people have some little things to do to their cars that they cant get done till Friday night, like fire extinguishers. Just bring everything you need down with you. Their will be plenty of hands and plenty of tools to use.

ferni - Bruce is infact not running. There was an entry form mistake. Maybe if Jack gets off his ass and sends his form in he will take his spot in our group.

Jerermy Bevan - unless he has changed cars recently - will be driving a dark green stock looking 200SX (S14) that you will get upset by when he kicks your ass. Not a SAU member but I remember being beaten by him at Sandown last year when I first started out and thinking WTF??? As mentioned it LOOKS completely stock. Even has the stock (aka POX) S14 rims on it still. He used to run in the MSCA track events. If he's in the 200SX he was lapping the Island last year in the 1.53's. Ultimate track sleeper.

1.53 in a 200sx hey, damn, if he's running semi-slicks he doesn't count :) or give me a ~3second headstart heh. Whats he running that makes it so quick?

Hey ferni...unfortunately the anthony in your group isn't me......I'm in Roys group again. Oh and if the Mx5 in your group is an orange one he might be keeping you all honest :)

Chris.....I'll be meeting up with you guys at bunnings....8pm with 8:30 leave is fine by me.

Well now this Chris has driven my car he knows my pain in trying to get a good lap time out of it:)

8pm meet up sounds good, and Ant, i left a message with my brother, ill touch base once i hear back from him.

...and last thing, come on Ferni, your in a GTR with AWD, with TT and GTR badges. It doesnt matter what tyres you have

I've had a major set back with my car. As some of you know I ordered a 400r Copy, which was actually for a GTST. I sent it back to NSW and got a Jun Style bar sent back. I went to fit it last night and the mould is just crap. It's bowed in the middle and leaves a 15mm gap between the headlights and the bar, no matter how hard I push it up.

I'm calling the head scutineer now to see if I can run on Saturday without a front bar.

For Aaron and Koah,

Extinguisher Mounts in my car.

First on the drivers side rear seat you can see the seat bolt I am talking about. However - we normally mount them on the passenger side as you can see. Unscrew the seat bolt and put it through the mount and bolt it back in (you will have to drill out the hole on the mount a little to fit the seat bolt through the hole). Then clip the extinguisher in and Bob's you uncle.

The same turbo gold/orange MX5 at Calder that was running 2seconds slower than me at Calder ?

Dont mean to nag people, but are you all abel to confirm if you are intending on staying any of the 3 nights. Neither Snowie or I are able to cancel the rental accom we have arranged, but i can cancel as long as i pay a cencellation fee. If there is only going to be 3 people in my place then that works out to be a fair sum of coinage so will mean im better paying the cancellation fee and getting some money refunded.

At the moment my understanding is that:

- Ant95GTR + 1

- Roy

- West

- skyline_geoff

So with only 5 people for what nights i dont know. But its $140 per night

Possibly

- Emre, may stay with Andrew?

If it's too late then i'll stay saturday night as well but definately i'm heading home on sunday morning. Hope i won't be crusing home alone co's i'll be fcuking bore  .

Im in:wave:

Car got a "its a bit of crap but its going alright" report from the Dr:) But hey, its my peice of crap:) LOL... was again a bit smokey today and my AVCR is now truly dead, so out it comes before Saturday:)

LOL. Scotsman will get to drive it before me so he can give me the heads up regarding the type of weekend im going to have.

Finally i should be able to get a decent day at the track with 230rwkws:thumbsup:

Andrew - Faxed the form off first thing this morning, my fax machine at home was playing up so the missus had to do it at work.... Should be on the list by tomorrow...hopefully....

Its gonna be 30 degrees on Saturday so the track should be nice and sticky for all you schumacher's (Snowman/Chris), don't think it would make a difference to me as I'll be just strolling along.....

I seem to have gotten number 47. Its a gtst auto so nothing to fear. I feel i should be in a more handicapped group.

I will be going down quite late, like 9pm, with some friends who are putting me up.

Robin - if you read this it's Midnight TONIGHT (I said Thursday) thats the cut-off. So if you send it in today it should all be sweet. PS - is it Robin Feburary?

Looking at the list there was about 15 spots left.

But great to see we got some late entries in! Brings us up to 17 club members which is a great effort. It's going to be a good weekend. Couldn't ask for better weather either.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
