you dont even have to do anything wrong.

You can have your rego no. reported saying

you were doing something wrong and you

can have your car taken off of you. These

laws are really going to suck.

Was at mates place the other day and some moron

did a burnout out the front of his place and a hour later

we had a cop on the door step giving us a lecture on

that if we get caught pur cars will be impounded. We

werent even doing anything so watchout. We are all

going to be bent over now.

I live in a danger zone I think. Last time, driving down my street at about 30kmph in the afternoon, a man in his mid 40s walking his dog tried to throw a dog chain at me. Then when I get home, he rang my door bell and say: "if you drive like a f**king maniac again, I will report you".... I was like WTF?? I just said to him "if you don't get the f**k off my property in 10 seconds, I will sh00t you and your dog through the head"

I don't see what so dangerous about driving 30ks in a side street. However, I believe throwing something at an on-coming car is just stupid, especially after the happy valley incidents.

But anyway, hope I don't get reported for that.

Well said..

Now had you been driving a Hyundai Excel at 30kms an hour, do you think you would have had some same outcome? I think not.. Just because your car "sounds" fast, it doesn't mean you are going fast.

But just think of the opportunities to improve your cars.

If the cars are impounded and sold off there will be some cheep parts around. I think I just heard John and Kier doing burnouts in my street :jk:

Now who else do I know with some good bits on their cars (that I want)

In all honesty these rules are a backwards step, criminals get a better deal than this. I wonder if it will get to a stage where high perforance cars wont bother to pull over for the flashing blue lights, they might just as well take a chance at outrunning the police. (and we know we can)

my gf just told me that the other day she was a police officer, yes a cop, driving a worked skyline and another driving a worked celica while she was on her way to my house. Would it be true that this anti-hoon law means that they drive our cars when they confiscate it. If so that bs.

I don't think it counts if you never drove it on the road, Will :(

Best of luck selling the 'dore Julian - anyone after a great condition, nice looking Commo should snap up the offer!!

    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
