I got mine for $200 from a large motorbike shop but I've heard as low as $150. Just make sure it's up to the Australian Standards (stickers on the back).

I would just think of the largest motorbike shop near enough to you cos they should have the volume to get a good price.

With Helmets, if you are willing to pay a bit more you can get SNELL approved helmets which are higher quality and are useable in all(?) forms of motorsport. I would dare say if you race on the circuit (As opposed to a track day) you would need a SNELL approved helmet.

I know for riding, I wouldn't use anything less then a SNELL, but when you're in a car I guess it's not as important.

And you can get cheap helmets for $100 ish at bike shops if that suits you... You basically pay more for features like cooling, removable liner, weight, etc. Of course you do pay for safety standard too...

All helmets sold (legally anyways) in Australia are of a decent standard, so you should be fine with a cheap if you only want to do track/drift days. If you plan to race, or have the money, I would go a snell approved.

If you want to check out the differences in helmets, just find a bike forum. try www.dirtbikeworld.net it's the best forum I know, and it's aussie.

Oh and in case anyone cares, I'm definitely going.  So see you all there.

If anyone from here sees me (White R34 4 door) come and say hello.

You have turned into a track junkie... The full gp circuit is awesome fun. And im sure there will be hardly anyone at this one (easter) so you should get some great track time..

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
