I don't think so mate.

But then I haven't heard the results from the recent CAMS night where req's for Passenger sessions were being discussed.

NO Passengers.

CAMS has recently came out with changes to PIV (passenger in vehicles) regulation but it was a bit late for us to put in Winton sup. reg.

100% yes.

We have had a number of first timers so far this year without incident and so far we have 3 more coming to this event that will be 1st timers.

Winton is by far the best track for it as well.

tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk

What's that Skip

tsk tsk

Bass is coming to Winton?

tsk tsk

Popping the cherry hey?

tsk tsk

Good on ya Skip!

Good stuff... will you have that thingie hanging off the motor, making stoopid numbers, might have to put out a safety alert for anyone sharing the track with you :P

Whats the go with dual entries, ie two drivers in the one car? Is it any cheaper?

If you want to saddle up Tom, your welcome to do a few laps in my car, perhaps do driver training or something as its cheaper.

As your the only other punter out there in an R32 GTST your welcome to have a steer of mine

I was just informed by my friend ryan ( Two toned sil80 that was giving ant a hard time at sandown) that he is having his 21st on the 10th. I'll be waaaay to drunk to get to winton, which sucks balls because i just got my car back and want to get low 1:50's around winton.

Thanks for the offer, but if I can't afford to break my car then I can't afford to break yours either. I'd love to take it for a drive some time but I don't like the idea of driving it on the track when I don't have the money to fix any damage I might do.

Its your call, but i wouldnt offer the drive if i thought their was the chance the car would go bang....thats the main reason noone got to drive it at DECA as i still wasnt sure about the oil feed and return lines...its all sorted now.

Hell if you are worried ill wind boost down to 8 psi and revs to 6,500rpm...but 14psi is more fun...up to you...ill be using 8,300rpm and 18psi :(

Hey guys, I am hoping to come and join you at Winton. So far I have filled out the SAU membership form and handed it over with the $70. I have also filled out the “WRXwinton11Sepsupreg.pdf” and mailed that in. Now I just have one more thing to sort out, a CAMS license. Is this something I should mail in now or can it be done on the day?

Download a CAMS licence application from the CAMS web site and bring $85 along on the day. You may not get the stuff back in time if you mail it to CAMS now.

Make sure you have some way of verifying that you are a SAU member (receipt etc).

Regards

Andrew

thats the one you want... you want the L2S license - $85.

Snowie should be able to hook you up with a SAU membership card on the day (for proof of membership).

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
