er... dood... that's anything but low...

i would say that is just the perspective of the photo as i was trying to get a pic of how the new rubber sat etc. as such it makes the car look quite high as you are looking up into the arches

see my garage pics for normal perspective http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=garage&do=view_image&id=3397

basically you can get your pinky finger in between the top of the tyre n the wheel arch- just

nonethless, horses for courses. I get alot of people commenting how low my car is. To other people its only low if the rims are up under the guards... (i.e. see my other garage pics with the series 1 spoiler n drift suspension)

;)

it's still not that low... it's clearly below stock heaight, but it aint slammed

my point is that you cant run your car at that height and say that people can have low with 275's on a 9.5" +36 rim without flaring your guards or heaps of camber. if anyone tries to slam their car with those specs they will run into trouble.

i run my car lower than yours and had to pull my guards to fit 9.5+25 with a 245/40

exactly. One persons low is another person's stilts.

Worth clarifying in people's minds before they get in and assume a give rim/offset/tyre will fit...

 exactly

Wheel: Lenso/Raiden D1R (Project D)

Skyline model = 1994 R33 GTST

Wheel diameter = 18"

Wheel width = 8.5" Front, 9.0" rear

Wheel offset = +35 Front, +32 Rear

Tyre size = 245/40ZR18 Front 265/35ZR18 Rear

Modifications to fit = Roll Guards

Want to correct the camber a bit so may need to do something with the guards if I do that

Folks:

All this offset stuff messes with my poor old head...

I have an R33 GTS-T at the stock height.

I'm looking at some old Rays GT2s in 17" x 8.0" all round, with +33 offset.

No troubles with those? Any other thoughts?

Thanks!

the only useful thought i could provide is look for something better sized. Not saying go grab some 10" wide phat ass wheels but at least an 8/8.5 F and a 9/9.5 R gives you some more tread to work with AND looks 11bty timesbetter.

if you need any help with size/offsets for that let us know.

as a general rule if you are running wider rubber its always worth rolling your guards at some point you'll likely lower the car too and it will be relevant then so for $50 or so a corner its a good investment to roll ya guards out the way cos if you dont and ya munch your guard cost ya more than $200 to fix it

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
