I would go adjustable arms all round. I went bushes and maxed them all out. Cannot get less than 1.7 degrees rear, nor more than 2.6 front. These numbers is general aren't to bad, but it would be nice to have further adjustment.

Hey guys I have a question.

At the moment I have 20x10 inch rims on the rear of my r33 gtst.

I have asked to order a set of 20x9 cause the 10's are to wide.

I was wondering what offset I will need for the 9's ?

Wow, I have driven a 34 with 20's, it was terrible! Too firm, scrubbed and scraped... I assume its a show car right?

Nah it's my daily car.

I wanted 19's but apparently I couldn't get them so I got 20's instead

Fair enough mate! I am sure the offset gurus will be in here soon enough! I am useless :P Just shocked to see 20x10's lol

Yeah I wanted 19x8 for the front and 19x9.5 for the rear.

But they couldn't get the an said they can get a staggered set of 20's.

But they didn't tell me how wide there going to be

You got pics? Just out of curiosity?

I got some volk gtc 17 x 9 +35 for my R32 gtst

they dont have tyres yet and im curious how wide i can go on the back

I have searched this thread a lot and cant find the offset of the stock wheels so i can calculate the difference

Anyone know the offset of the 32gtst wheels?

Oh.. i forgot google.... doh! im so used to finding everything on sau

So..

GTST 16 x 6.5 +40

GTR 16 x 8 +30

Thanks, sorry, whatever.

I don't know the offset to the 20x10's I don't know how to work it out but the rim sticks out past the guard and the cops are picking on me for it so I want to put some 20x9's on the rear and want to run a 255/30r20 tyre

After some info for fitment of Varrstoen 2.2.1 on a R34 4 door - 9.5" version.

Best I can find so far seems to be - +30 with a 235/30/18, it won't hit the guard at all and it won't have poke. Ideally you'd want 9" +25 front with 235/40 (v little stretch) and 10" +35 rear (with 265/30/18). Or 9" +25 front and rear.

This pic here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=396593

Don't know the specs on this, but I want to get it close to flush, but not sitting outside the guards at all.

Being a daily, I want to keep it as legal as possible while looking the way I want it too.

I've email Varrstoen, with no reply. I'm running 18x8 or 8.5 at the front now and they scrub when turning around a bumpy corner, but not at all during normal driving. The front guards have been rolled slightly by the previous owner, but nothing too extreme, no guard lining at all.

I've seen how R34 GTR rims sit, they are 18x8 +30 from memory? Looking for that sort of fit. As much as I'd love to poke the rims and stretch the tyres, being a daily its got to be reasonably tame

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
