Much more expensive option is to get something like a Recaro. That way, not only do you keep your GTT seat nice and clean, but you don't "wear it out". And you get a decent seat to sit in, which you can move from car to car as you replace / upgrade cars.

Otherwise, just try Autobarn or the like. Or I'm sure there are companies around that could make a set of custom fit sheepskin covers.

autobarn has a decent range of throw over covers...they look pretty good

they have the wank factor NOS 1's...bit gay if u ask me....ill be getting the AXS 1's when i get my skyline, ill get them in black....they're just dark black, with the AXS logo embroided into them, and the logo looks pretty good

i dont think they are that expensive

Where abouts are you from?

If sydney, then Autojoy in Parra

2 red ones, they have AXS branded ones but I got the one with no logos.

I think they were $35 each, no logo or $40 with.

Mate of mine got personalised ones for his SSS where they sew whatever logo or lettering you want, he got it from carmate on Villawood road. I noticed it was the same material too, pretty high quality and looks hard wearing.

Another guy I know got Snap on branded ones, they were $70 each :P

He had to buy it off a snap on techo who travels around in a van

If your in Melbourne, there is a joint in dandenong that does custom pleather seat covers for around $500 a car. I had the front seats done on my FC RX-7 and they were shit hot! No one could tell that they were covers nor fake leather. They fit perfect, and i'm organising a group by with my mates in a few weeks time to get the skyline done.

It might be a bit overkill for your needs, but all the seat covers in auto barn are absolutely S**T!

My mate recently got NOS ones and i absolutly HATE them, they only cover the seats 1/2.

Another mate recently got playboy ones (not the best brand i know) but his cover front and rear of the seat and are a much tigher firmer fit... i'd rather get these despite the wanky playboy logo.

the AXS, NOS, and i think snap-on as well...they all cover the front, but you mean at the back where they tie off with the velcro yeah....doesnt go all the way to the bottom of the seat...

Go to www.nismo.com.au, they have some good ones with 'Skyline' or 'GTSR' logos on them. Only come in black or blue though.

"Oh no it's the cops!"

"Worse, the police cops!"

have you ever seen these in a car? the skyline 1's look good, but do they have the same problem as the AXS and NOS 1's that dont cover the whole back of the seat?

I was thinking of a set for my 4x4 of those.

How much cheaper will the 2 tone be with the group buy?

    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
    • To be fair it's the other way around. 300kw is boring in a modern Golf or BMW. They are so competent / well-engineered / devoid of emotion that you have to go stupid fast to feel anything. Whereas the <300kw RB still makes all the right noises and it feels good to drive. Can pull off at the lights with the turbo whooshing and the blow-off pssshing and feel like the coolest kid on the block. Just don't look to the side where you'll see the bored housewifes in their shitbox Yaris/Corolla/Camry that kept up because you didn't go fast at all
    • 300kW is so boring in a Skyline, you'll get spanked by someone's mum's Golf with Alibaba pipes, and an email tune.
