Topaz
I would rather mine wasn't in there, but then I'd be rooted with no spare.....I didn't have it in there in my TX3 for a few years coz I had a fake floor brace running across the tyre well, but I dunno for the GTR! is yours still in there? Jenius
I've still got mine. There really isn't much point in taking it out unless you wanna hide a set of fuel pumps in your boot. You'd be wiser having it in there just incase you find yourself with a flat even though I wouldn't trust my life to them . plus worse case scenario is it actually acts as a good way to absorb a crash in the rear-end if some dero gets distracted by how nice your car is and forgets to hit the brakes. Dee 33
I'd like to remove mine but I've had to use it once. Although without a toolkit (I was lucky and had one on me at the time) there's no point me having it there. I might remove it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86475-yes-or-no/#findComment-1563986 Share on other sites

POOMBAH
Not much of a difference in performance imo, having it there or not. Better to just keep it there just in case Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86475-yes-or-no/#findComment-1564971 Share on other sites

lang
i dont have one in my gtr it didnt come with a jack, and i figure if i cant jack the car up, i cant put a spare tire on, so no point having the spare either you can buy those cans of stuff you spray into the tyre if you get a flat, that or dad can come rescue me Edited September 5, 2005 by lang Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86475-yes-or-no/#findComment-1565140 Share on other sites

Shell
mine's in there... and I've used it before - luckily it's only about a kay to the nearest Jax from my house, wouldn't have wanted to go much further on it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86475-yes-or-no/#findComment-1567565 Share on other sites
Rhinorebel
Yeah, the space saver is in there, although it wouldn't have helped without the tool kit that is supposed to be in there. Only the jack was there, no wheelbrace or jack handle. Took it back to the importer and he checked every Skyline he had and none had theirs either!! Seems they are a hot item in Japan???? Munkvy
Mines not, dont trust space savers, esp on the back in the wet in a GTSt... So I bought a standard GTSt rim and put that in instead.
