So much happening! :D Very exciting stuff, I've done a little to mine but I'll post that over in my thread because there is a fair few pics!

Bushy: Really excited to see you're making some awesome progress; Can't wait to see you on the track again!

Brain: Loving the flares, they don't look too bad even in black. Are you going to colour code them?

Young: That is one Sexy 31, love it! Wheels are mad and boss fitment!

That 31 is porn,

Yeah it is a little bit lower then before I think it may be the angle im taking the pics on as well, I have around 100-110mm clearance on the front bar.

I'll take some better pics when i get it out of the garge.

I think I may just keep them black for now, I'm not 100% sure yet

Slight correction to my last post...I meant to say cam seals were replaced, not crankshaft seals hah. Doesn't look like I can edit the post.

Yep, after 20 Mins you're committed!

  • 2 weeks later...

That thing better get low ^^ . Ok im bored so i shall waffle , blue snotter is very close to rego , just need to pull my finger out and finish off a few small things . After a fail weekend last weekend where i missed out on the charity ride day over mis communication with people , i finally have my other hq ready for the track again and 28 is back in full swing after the issues in Melbourne . How did everyone go last weekend at the track day? Im Devo i didn't make it :(

Doing some wheel bearing moves on the 31

Also need to redo the passenger side front brake hard line flare, anyone know where you get the hard line brake nuts from? and if a supercheap style flare tool can do the correct flare?

few new pics of mine (still in the garage) after getting another pair of flares, should have them on & out of the garage by next week.

this is starting to grow on me. Look forward to seeing it finished for next Sunday....

Yeah im good mate thanks , basically , i ran out of talent . I was playing with tyre pressures and a couple other things with the car and came through the esses too hard , got sideways , the clutch wouldn't dis engage properly and bam! . Only damaged the nose cone and front guard luckily (and bonnet and door) . My bad :s

I'm struggling highly for motivation at the moment.

Also for the first time in about 3 outings I actually jacked my car up to check it and found some epic inner wheel damage from the last prac day. My spotter kept edging me deeper and deeper to turn 1 untill I broke it. Also gave the chassis a good knock from another ripple strip adventure. Otherwise it's all sweet and ready to go for round 3.

I have several aspects to revamp on the. Car but can't seem to get into it. Any one got a way to get yourself motivated?

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
