It's Poogoe .... and I think you'll find Citron is much smarter than shitren (lookup what Citron stands for in a dictionary).

Shane L.

PS: Oh cr@p .... One of you even has the name "mid life crisis".... You guys are hilarious ... There's nothing like taking the pi$$ out of yourself rolllaugh.gifrolllaugh.gifrolllaugh.gifrolllaugh.gif

Here's me expecting the usual braindead "my car is faster than yours" , "betcha I could beat your cr@pbox type comments" ....... Where's the "mines bigger than yours" type comments confused.gif I'm very impressed with the level of maturity around here given it's a skyline forum.

hey all,

i got a mate who works at nissan/renault,  who says they're the biggest buckets of shit on the road, not to mention the ugliest, the new ones just look wrong.

loved the pics of that clio sport burning. thanks for the wallpaper...

Don't forget who owns Nissan.... Yeah that's right, Renault.. the French.

well i'm just passing on what i've been told. he is the one who has to pull them apart and put em back together. apparently the windscreen wipers spin the wrong way, the indicator/wiper stalks are on the wrong side and just little stupid things like that, yes i know it is european, but every other company changes these before selling them

I love hearsay. The earth is flat! the earth is flat! I'm just passing on what i was told...

If you mind and therefore bodily motor functions can't convert to using stalks on the other side of a steering column, maybe you shouldn't be operating a vehicle.

And not "every other company" converts to RHS indicator stalks when importing to Australia - most euros I've driven recently run LHS indicator stalks...

But apart from those problems, nice observations :)

French cars have won the last five WRC, this years F1, own Nissan (and green lighted the upcoming GTR)and have been responsible for some of the most innovative advancements in motoring. I've owned a french car, the Peugeot 205 GTI for 10 years and love it. I have 2 GTRs. I'd say there are more wanker Skyline drivers than Citroen and Peugeot drivers.

My Uncle owns a Citroen Xsara, bought new. Its a very luxurious car and mechanically its great but its been back for warranty service four times for electrical issues. During that time they gave him a new Alfa Romeo 156 as a courtesy car lol damn that was a sweet car.

And yeah on both cars the indicator stalks were on the left which is weird but it only took a few hours to get used to, but I bet I looked like an L plater at the start when I kept activating the windscreen wipers

WOW 2 pages and nobody has mentioned Volvo drivers, I used to have a sticker on my helmet saying " Volvo aware rider" they wre a bread of their own back in the 80's but they seem to have realised their mistakes and now are seen to be a class car, I'm still wary of them, never had a problem with the frogs though I'm sure they have their percentage of unaware drivers as well.

I know its not what this thread is about but...

I have more trouble with Holden SS Ute drivers. Everytime someone wants to drag me at lights or pulls up next to me (whilst moving) and revs their engine it's a bloody SS Ute! What makes them think they could beat a GTR anyway? Mostly I ignore them and let them be... mostly.

Lol the thread title made me giggle like a girl :)

HOLY SHIT indicator stalk on the wrong side, must be a pretty unsafe car with shit build quality.

I wish people would have a more broad mind and get over a badge/brand/model.

werd. get over the holden hate people.

Although old people are a reasonable scapegoat. Once I saw this old couple merging onto a country freeway. exept they didnt merge, they drove along the shoulder for quite awile. f**k it was funny.

I would say what thype of car they were driving, but It doesnt matter. I see heaps of suburban drifters in beaten up silvias then anything else, although there is still plenty of guys in old commys.

You would burn all these insanely brilliant cars?

EVEN CITROEN have had some important cars in their history. Citroen DS anyone? When it came out way back in 1955, it was a symbol of French technology. It had power steering, four wheel disk brakes (inboard at the front), headlamps that turn with the car (like Mercedes have JUST brought in), fully independent hydro-pneumatic self levelling suspension with adjustable ride height, sleek aerodynamic body (for the time), front wheel drive (once upon a time thought to be a good thing), hydraullic semi-automatic clutchless gearbox, and in the big engined models it could hit 120mph.

ds_web_splash.jpg

So not all French cars should be burnt. Just the senior citizens that drive them.

Fin.

I went through a round about yesterday, and a senior citizen in a hyundai literally did not look to his right (Where i was coming from) when he pulled on to the round about, Strong application of brakes and middle finger and i was again on my way. It just shits me when people don't even pay attention to the traffic arounf them

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
