Removing Sound Deadner

today i did maybe one of the most stupid things in my life started to remove the sound deadner from my boot,( i did it as i suspected rust)

Ive got a fair bit of it off i still am left with a whole lota the sticky shit wich is hard to get off has anyone esle removed there and if so what did you use??????????

a heat gun and a paint scraper.

if you use a heat gun be very very careful you can cause some damage if you dont know what your doing.

would prepsol or thinners do the trick or gun wash we use that at work to get tar tacky glue stuff of a/c fittings works a treat

use gunwash to clean up after your done with the heat gun

freeze the stuff to smithereens then hit it with a hammer and it should all just fall off

Just use a scraper, mallet hammer and some elbow grease.

When i took my dynomat off my old car, scrapped most of it off with a paint scrapper and mallet and after i got off what i could, i used some stuff called Orange Power (got it at Coles, Supermarket) worked marvells getting any sticky crap off even got the glue residue off my dash

Yeh use dry ice... lifts the whole thing off in one hit..
