Gb: R33 Gts-t And Gtr And R34 Gtt Radiator Guides

Recommended Posts

Hey ppls.

I'm extremly sorry about delay with group buy.

I've had a lot of life changes in the mean time but I digress.

The R33 Series I, Stag Series I, R34 GTT (all) guides are all being cut at the moment.

I have the cardboard boxes for freight in the factory and I will begin making them up shortly.

The R33 Series II guides are STILL not finalised but I'm doing some grinding on it today and I need somebody who can come ot Dandenong to trial fit it. I'd come to you, but I need to use a grinder to make any mods and the factory here has all that stuff.

The Stag Series II guide sample will be send out to two guys in Canberra to fit to their car and try it out. I think it should be pretty good, but it may need some slight re-modelling.

Again, I'm super sorry about the delay, but understand that I will supply each and every one of the guides as soon as I can.

I thought I'd be able to finish them a lot faster than I have. I've had a lot of stuff go on in the last few months. It's been crazy.

Yours in total apology

Just got the phone call and went and picked up the blanks.

So, I have all the Series II Stags, the Series I R33, all the R34 guides in the back of my car.

I'll be testing a revised R33 Series II guide on a car on the weekend and a Series II Stag also.

The end of this group buy is nigh. Finally. :S

R33 Series II guide modified.

It's been ground and the bend changed and will be trial fitted again to Dezz's car on the weekend.

Hopefully she'll be all good this time.

Cross your fingers.

These are still available Bass? I'd like one for my R34 GTT... think it's a standard nismo front bar. Could you pm me the details? Cheers.

  • 2 weeks later...

Bass Junky or Dezz, any updates on how the fitment went?

I know there have been problems but one more month and this has been going on for a year, and payment was in Feb! That was 8 months ago! It's getting ridiculous.

Hi Guys.

Again, I sorry about the delay. I have not stopped on this bloody project.

I took the guides to a plave near here last week and went back a few days later and they then told me they couldn't do it because they are too busy and blah blah blah.

So shortly I'm going out to find antother person.

I'm also playing with Dezz's car tomorrow.

Stay tuned.

TOP NEWS PEOPLES

I have finally trail fitted the R33 GTS-T Series II guide to Dezz's car and lo and behold, it's spot on!

A very minor adjustment to an angle and she's apples!

I'll be sorting out hte order to the laser cutters on the next day or two and then away we go.

THANK YOU EVER SOO MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

    • Hey everyone. Is there a way I can get the original window sticker (maroney label) for my 1995 R33 GTST? I doubt I’ll be able to ever get it but it’s worth a shot to ask
    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
