lol there is someone in sydney who has the nos shots, i got the setup for mine for $100. just be careful when you get it, dont free rev the bike, casue it will blow the motor. but its crazy, lean forward when u press the button, casue the bike tries to go up on its front wheel.

any more info on this at all?

i am still waiting to hear fromt eh bloke in the states. but i dont see it costing me more than 50- from him,.

then possibly another 10-20au for about 30 no2 charges

In the meantime grab a small Mikuni or keihin FCR flatslide carb... that'd be awesome on a little pocket bike, AND it wouldnt blow the engine. Better tuning and great performance, arguably as good as a Nos shot.

Am I missing something? How exactly will this work? Pocket bikes make less than 5 hp don't they? Surely a 50hp or 30hp shot of NOS would be wasted on such a small engine! I reckon there would be more NOS than the engine could inhale, and therefore most would be wasted. You'd only want maybe about a 5hp hit. That is still a 100% power increase remember!

Regardless, before and after videos are required. Measure out about 200m and compare the 1/8th mile times!

Fuarkin hell. Reminds me of that video floating around on the net where the drag racer on the bike has the piston fly out of the engine and take his wrist straight off.

Makes me shudder whenever I think about it.

TAPE IT and post up over xmas please :(

i would think a 50hp shot on a bike making around 2 or 3hp will just make it stall. that is if it really is a 50hp shot. a 1 or 2 hp shot might do the trick though.

Nah, forget the Nos, go a flatslide racing carb, as small as you can find on ebay! Same $$ outlay, more HP spread, more reliable as well. Plus damn fun to get set up correctly!

=) Good luck with it!

There was an article on this in Zoom. They were using a $700 dry NOS brand kit. Suposidly close to doubles the power!!! This was on a 70cc scooter...

Don't know about the integrity of the engine internals of a pocket bike though.. China = Straying pistons and rods

you can buy turbos for 150 cc engines for model aircraft. also there was a jap compant building a twin turbo setup for some 500cc jap bikes in the 90s

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
