  1. pretty keen on doing this soon aswell. if someone has pics of twhat they have done that would be great! cheers
  2. heya all, is there anyone that has space spare in a cabin? or someone that has not booked a cabin yet and needs someone to share with? if so please let me know... cheers!
  3. thanks for the heads up dudes it looks like I have the 12cm housing on mine wich will be a bit small for the 30det but a hellava lot better then a stock 25det housings with 3071 bits inside the hiflow on there at the moment runs out of puff big time and comes on like a bag of sledge hammers. its a bit ridiculous really, it fries 255 semi's without trying in 1st 2nd and 3rd. so i will be looking forward to getting some drive ability back!
  4. zachcalais, would you be able to take a shot of the exhaust housing for me? and what sort of wastegate setup did you use? internal gate or an external gate? Where is the marking on the exhaust housing telling you what size it is? I have a HX35W and can not find the rear housing size anywhere, Cjmartz2k, thank you for your valuable contribution to this forum, its people like you that make SAU a great community cheers!
  5. in regard to the gate, looking at the size on the internal gate I think external may be the only option. the hols size on the internal gate is smaller than a stock RB turbo so boost creep would be a huge risk. I am going to install the holset and see how it goes on te RB30 spool wise and se if i am happy with it. then if i like the results I will buy an external gate and make a new dump and manifold. I am lucky and have the luxury of a second car and a workshop at my disposal. otherwise the cost would prevent me doing such a 2 step build. by the time you do all the work it's NOT a cheap turbo install, Custom twilscroll manifold $600 External gate $450 Oil lines $150 Dump pipe $300 Custom cold side piping $200 Turbo guess? and thats before supporting mods. ecu, injectors, afm, fuel pump ect... and pushing 300rwkw and gearboxes, rods, pistons ext all start to become the weakest link.. I guess I am saying there is no such thing as a "cheap" turbo that makes 300rwkw. I am not trying to deter anyone but just be aware of the real costs. Cheers!
  6. water lines are not needed. they can be blocked off. the oil drain is the same as standard. the oil supply line will have to be morified. i have not looked into the right type of fitting yet.
  7. Just a heads up for those looking for these turbos in Australia, The HX35W is the OEM turbo for a lot of IVECO trucks. I just picked one up for $150! and it is in MINT condition. The unit I have here has the following specs: 7 Blade Compressor V band ompressor cover outlet and no anti surge slots on the inlet T3 twinscroll Turbine housing Integrated wastgate with Adjustable actuator! the plan is to put it on the standard manifold with a 20mm twinscroll spacer that has been knife edged. I will have to fabricate up a dump pipe and some simple intake pipe work but thats about it the turbo is going on a daily driven R32 with an RB30DET in it. I am aiming at a shade under 300rwkw and having full boost just after 3000. I am hoping on keeping boost below 17psi to acheive this. seeming as the actuator is adjustable it should be doable. I just need to do some more shopping first and get a set of bigger injectors and a Z32afm. I am still a bit of a sceptic about it all but sometimes you just have to jump in and see how you go. normally I would steer clear of cheap options but this one looks like a goer. Holset make turbos for the best manufacturers in the world and are designed to last 100's of 1000's of k's their thrust bearings are able to take HUGE loads and a varied oil supply, their compressor maps are wider than anything else available and the wheels are iconnel. all the makings of a good turbo. And this would not be the first time a diesel truck turbo has been used in hi performance applications T88 TD06 two of the most ledgendary turbos ever made. It will be a while before I get it on the car but will post results as soon as its on. Cheers!
  8. faxed in form and paid! woo hoo
  9. hehe pretty crap. the fabric is ripped and the cushion is missing. if you were handy you could recover it. the cost would be about $60 to recover it yourself also the fibreglass base is has cracks in it and would need to be repaired. it would cost bugger all to fix and could be done in an afternoon. it really is a fixer upper for someone that is handy. but for about $100 you could have it looking like new. the rails for these sell for between $150 and $200 so its still a good deal. cheers
  10. hey all, just doing a bit of a clean up and nolonger need the following pair of fedral SS 595r tyres.about 70% tread. no camber wear. $100 for the pair 235/45/17 also have a bride zeta in super shit condition with rail to suit R32 $200 also have manual tailshaft for an R32 $50
  11. OUCH!!!!!!! i cant believe people are importing such rubbish. changed my mind...
  12. you can run the car with the stock turbo and the remap suited for the r33 turbo but it will run rich. apart from that it will be fine. you can not remove the z32 and put the stock one back on. it would start but be un drivable Did I do the remap for you? cheers!
  13. awsome! thanks for all the responses, i don't need a plumber at the moment. but will give some of u other dudes a buzz. cheers
  14. thanks guys pm sent
  15. Hey All, well I am going to be doing some renovations on my house and need good reliable tradies and I thought seeming as there is such a big community on SAU and times are a bit tough I would ask here first incase anyone wants work. I will need a sparky to install an IXL tastic and about 6 downlights and possibly sort out some 15amp power for my garage. not really a big job but can make is a weekend cash job if needed. I will also be knocking down some small sections of wall, about 2 metres by 1 metre. I have been in the roof and am not sure if I will have to have reinforcements put in. Also will be ripping up the carpet in the whole house and having the floor boards sanded and sealed I will also be replacing the kitchen doors and bench. so if you are a licensed tradie and are on sau and are interested let me know and send me a PM. I am very handy and can help with any of the work. Also if you need any mechanical or tuning work done I can help you. we could do a sort of a trade. Cheers!
  16. nice fish... I used to have one about 30cm and an oscar the same size. the 2 of them had a corner each in a 4ft tank and used to fight. nothing else would live with the red devil they are the most agressive cichlid you can own pretty much. yours looks like it is living with a plecto? I now have a tank with a mix of african and american cichlids. not ideal but it looks fantastic.
  17. can i please get a price for a pair of 215/40/17 or even 205/40/17 / thanks!
  18. OOPS!!! just realised these are ROTA not koya... cheers
  19. Hey all. after my buddyclubs got mashed I am looking for an affordable set of wheels and came across these koya RB wheels. they look awsome and have an old skool flavour i like a lot. my application is an R32 with 4 x 114.3 stud pattern. They also have to clear 296mm rotors with GTR callipers. but the offsets look to be a bit of a problem. I am looking at getting: 17 x 8.5 with + 4 for the front and my guards are stock. to these I want to fit 235's 17 x 9.6 with -19 for the rear and my guards are lipped and rolled 1 inch. and to these I will be fitting 255 semi's Will these fit? can someone shed some light on the offsets? I am having trouble working it all out. also does anyone know who else stocks them apart from otomoto? if these is a place in melbourne that would be great! thanks!
  20. i used the bracket from an rb30e and it fits perfectly and lines up without any problems/ i did not have to gring anything.
  21. as mentioned earlier i will organise pics soon as i can it will be tomorrow afternoon.
  22. I bought this car to use build up as a drift car but have not really got the time and hae decided to move on. details: White 1992 R32 GTST Mspec. has a new front bar and a pair of mspec sideskirts and a rear wing. the body is in good condition and there is no dents. the paint is ok and will come up pretty well in most places but it has a few chips ect. the car is missing a few minor parts. off the top of my head they are: climate control box, rear pillar trims, dash vents, rear screen trim, possibly wipers and some other bits and peices. the bonnet is gunmetal and has a few dints. it could easily be repaired and painted. it is missing the blowoff valve and a few really minor engine hoses. it has 4 piston callipers and stock wheels with tyres in good condition. the car is Auto and I have a manual tailshaft and some other bits to do a manual conversion. I was going to go to pick a part and get an R31 bot for $150 and put that in for some cheap manual action. it HAS been complied and was registered in victoria untill the rego lapsed. it has no defects and is not written off and has not been reported as stolen. it will need a bit of work to get it roadworthy but is mechanically very good. the suspension, brakes, steering and engine are all in good condition. as I said I was going to buld it up as a drift car but dont really have the time or room to do it now. if you did a bit of work and spent a few bucks you would have a car worth 8 to 10g. I have replaced the coilpacks, engine loom replaced a headlight and some other bits and pices. since I have had it The car also comes with a full TRUST exhaust, full alarm/immobiliser with central locking, and a pair of JIC coilovers. the car is located in Melbourne but i am happy to freight it to you if you are keen. and it might work out well if you are after a cheap skyline. It drives and runs fine but has major boost leaks as its missing some hoses so you COULD pick it up and drive away but prob better to tow it. I will organise photos soon but I am guessing at the price its not going to be here long so give me a buzz quick if you are interested. Cheers! Nic 0435145987
  23. I have a 1992 model white R32 that i www going to use as a drift poject i might not use. its got 3" exhaust, front coilovers and good turbo engine. and a tuned ECU. it is however auto. i was going to get an r31 gearbox and do a manual conversion for $300 but i am starting to loose interest. if you are interested you can have it for 3k. its also complied and was reg'd in victoria and does not have any defects. its missing some intiroir bits and needs the headlights wired up. pm me if u are interested.
  24. I have used fulx core mild steel wire on stainless before and it works but is not pretty. if its just for your exhaust hanger it should be fine.
