  1. geez, i would be very keen for this. I am looking at building a puma clubman in the next year or so and it is based on sr20det. would like to ask you a few questions about it and if you are interested in a highly modified r32 as a trade. please pm me if you are interested. thanks
  2. not really I have a button 5 puck ceramic clutch and 255 semis on the rear and a 2 way lsd on mine and she is still holding together

I have busted 3 of them 1. input shaft bearing shat itself and the box became super noisy and crunchy. 2. blew iself to bits and a hard chance into 3rd. i was un able to tell what went wrong woth it as it was shattered. gearsets and syncros everywhere 3. stripped the teeth of 2nd gear.. all these were done with rough treatment and a heavy single plate with an rb20 making 240rwkw. if you treat the box well and no flat shifting it will last quite well
  4. I would also like a bit more info on this. my 30det uses tensioners in the stock locations and the belt is to tight. its been ages scince i built it and I have always wanted a belt with 1 or 2 more teeth. what is everyone using with the stock tensioner locations? thanks!

  7. I am interested in teting the rb25 bolt on hiflow for you when they are ready. I can supply you with housings and fit the turbo to my car, tune it and publish the results if you are interested, I have been tuning rb's for a few years and am always interested in bolt on option. cheers

  10. that is a dinosar it is of a 6.7 litre cummins powered earth mover. it was designed to diliver a scud of torque at very small rev range. about 2600 to 3200 rpm. it has a strange anti surge ring machined into the compressor housing and the compressor wheel has notches that fit into the ring. on an rb25 it would see boost at around 5500 to 6000 rpm the one you want to go for is a hx35 not one of these
  11. my bile has a plate fixed to it's stock exhaust that says it is less than 96db @ 7500 rpm... the redline is 18,500 rpm and i would be guessing it would be well and truly over 100db at that..
  12. hey all. just want to know if R32 gtr side skirts will fit on an R32 gtst. is there any fit issues due to the gtr having wider guards or will they fit fine. please only tell me if you have them fitted or know for a fact that they will fit. thanks!
  13. hey chris, as long as they are all the same you have no problems. might be low if it was done on an inaccurate guage. but if they are 125psi across the borad you have no probs. also your engine has great throttle response so i am thinking your comp ratio is at least 8.5:1 so your turbo is buggered? no good. mine needs a bit of attention soon and i want to get a bigger rear housing on it. are you going to get a new one or get yours rebuilt? cheers!

  15. just keep it mate its worth a lot more than you are asking for it. I have resolved to never sell mine as i will never get what i consider to be a fair price for it much more fun to keep it and drive it. not much beats a 30det powered R32 in the fun department.
  16. I have an R31 box with a hardened gearset in my R32 that is powered with a RB30det making 260odd rwkw and well over 600nm of torque. I bought the box recoed and the gearset had been hardened, cant remember if it was nitrided or what was done to it but its been in there for 15 months doing its duty. the syncros are not fantastic but it has held the power fine. probably not an ideal box but should hold together for a decent amount of time if it is treated with respect.
  17. hehe hey studricho, I am the dude from cbr forums who did the carbon fibre fairings recently i noticed you had a skyline by the rb in your sig... I am going to have to hit you up for some bolts for the bike soon and the car aswell. those bolts look good. and i am pretty sure all rb's are the same. (slightly different bolt position) but i used all the bolts from my rb20 when I did my rb30det conversion using an rb26 head. as for price i am not sure... can never tell how much bolts are going to cost. cheers!
  18. it is an rb20det turbo. you can tell by the hole in the commpressor cover that is tapped. normally a nipple goes here to give you a boost pressure signal. it also has 16V on the compressor cover indicating it is an rb20 turbo. it has ceramic turbine and an metal compressor wheel. it also has ball bearings. they produce enough airflow for 165rwkw at around 14psi. don't run any more boost than 14psi as the turbine is likely to brake. it would be well suited to a 1.5 litre engine. cheers!
  19. passengers are constantly telling me my car is broken... i have a 2 way and it clunks under acceleration and braking so if you go thru a corner without accell or decel it will not clunk at all. but it is a fine balance. I am going to pull it apart and redo the shims and put the penrite stuff back in as it seemed to be the best,
  20. induction noise, throttle response and better breathe-ability having 6 throttle bodies and no plenum if you were to use 3 side draught webbers, dellotos or so on.
  21. teh ceiling is easily high enough so no probs there I have seen them go on ebay for $1000 from time to time and new ones go for around 2.5k. bursons I have a trade pass for them and will give them a try! yep the garage will be kitted out witw everything a workshop has a a few more bits. plasma cutter and pipe bender, tig ect always wanted a full workshop and its a dream to have it all at home!
  22. I have just bought a house and want to install a hoist in my garage. It's going to have to be pretty small as its only a bit wider than a single garage but almost 3 cars long so its going to be a hoist in the front and a workshop in the back. so i am thinking 2 post and it only needs to lift the car 4 to 5 feet. does anyone have any hoist contacts or knows someone that wants to sell one? it would have to be 240v aswell. dosen't have to be fancy or fast. just safe Has anyone else fot a hoist at home? and where did they get it? max budget will be 2k cheers!
  23. hey champ, looks like your reading is about 20 to 30 rwkw to high. it was done in shoot 6, this will always read high. even 200 is optamistic with a vg turbo. the CHRA is exactly the same turbo as an RB20 turbo, the only differences is the exhaust housing really. i am not putting you down at all but your real power figure is more like 190rkwk. cheers
