  7. All in all Eric atleast your ok, would have been a big scare when it all happened. Hey and i got to use my winch on my truck lol its been sleeping for a good 6months so it was good to get it out. I was towing my car infront of Jez on the way home, i could see all the people on the opposite side of the Hwy pointing at your car as we were going past, we turned more heads than we do with 2 clean GTR's back to back on the Hwy haha. have you tryed to find a Rear end off a wrecked one? like a Half cut? theres a good chance you will find one, it will just be a matter of pulling it straight and replacing as many parts off the half cut you can. than just get it painted, wont cost much to paint a mx5. Good on Jez for towing the broken lil beast home, and thumbs up to Kimberly having to drive Jezza's Gtr all the way to sydney!! Deano
  8. my vote goes to bad batch of fuel, im guessing your using a PFC? hense the reason you no the knock number. You should have told Jez his car was parked next to ya in the pits, he had all his tuning gear with him, could have jumped in on of the passenger laps with you and takin some timing out of the knocky spots. Deano : D

  16. ho screw that. please dont rain my car will get dirty... haha
  17. there not just a peace of rubber mate, they are a washer all the rubber does is keep all 3 washers together so u can put it all on at once, imagine trying to slip 1 washer on at a time, while sliping in a bolt and not droping them down in behide the cover. The idea is to make it easy, if u want to just use washers casue u dont have the factory one, u will need to Find the perfect size washers to make it sit in the same spot as factory... like Jez said.... or you will smash your cas, im amazed you havnt already to be honest.
  18. i think it will be the baffles for sure! ive got a Autech Can on my car, and after a full track day on a hot day, it has had a smoky exhaust for a good 1-2hours after. i remember the first time i went to the Creek, it was a 30 odd deg day, my oil temp got up to 130deg at one stage, therefore would have been thining right out, when i got home that night i had my car just idling out the front of my garage and she was puffing a heap of smoke, i thought the turbo seals where gone or somthing, took it for a cruise no boost drive by the time i was back, it was all normal again. At the time my Autech was plumbed back into the intake, its now Atmo..... Change the baffles man, let us no how you go!
  19. I did it on my 32R took about 4hours to get it off, there's not really that many hoses, the hardest part of the job is geting them 3 bitch as screws that bolt that mess of hoses on the iac thingo. I just pulled the plenum off and left all that in, I think there was only 3-4 main hoses to take off, wasn't that bad. Your best to do it this way anyway atleast than u can make sure u got all the hoses connected on the iac back on, than new gaskets and drop the plenum back on and bolt it all back up.
  20. bend them back for sure.... hehe
