  1. Car sounds great Ben Shame about another engine lost any idea what caused it to drop a valve? oh and I bet you loved rounding up a Porsche
  2. Do you drag race it? N2o on the street is an instant do not pass go do not collect $200 moment Ps NOS is a brand
  3. Then return from the rail back to the main tank Unless you have a tiny feed pump there should be an issue to keep the surge tank full
  4. Little cameras inside the bores to check for det? Or in the sump to see if there is oil surge? Lol
  5. Or just use a fuel pressure gauge or a fuel flow gauge
  6. Why not set a low pressure switch to kill the engine if pressure drops to nothing in the feed line to the surge tank? You might have to use a low pressure reg between the main tank and the surge tank and another return
  7. Yes they do have good reviews But generally by people who don't really have a clue (like me) With 3500 to play with give MCA a call, they may be able to help
  8. If only interested in lap time..then why are you lookin gat BC's at all Why not MCA/Penske/Ohlins/Sachs/DMS etc?
  9. Back to the top with you!
  10. Day after texi huh Might come down and say gday (will bring rags to wipe the oil up with lol )
  11. I do believe it was Moffat and someone else too I think and yes brains are very much a part of it, and slightly related to that (kinda) is the Japanese car builders generally just use off the shelf parts (still to this day) havea look at their time attack events, 99% of the time the cars just run expensive standard replacement parts, that dont address the natural flaws in design which is why the GMS GTR's were so much faster than the GTR's in japan, I'm sure you have looked under the GMS GTR before...it doesnt look very GTRish does it lol Same goes for the DJR Sierra's, whilst in Europe and the UK the cars were making 450-500hp and running standard gearboxes and 7" wide wheels etc the Cars out here went to hell with that idea and fitted Hollingers, 9" wide wheels, changed all the suspension, squeezed another 100hp from the motor etc etc I would have loved to see some of the Aussie cars take it to the Japanese, I haev a feeling the Japanese teams would have had their ass handed to them by Commodores lol That imo wouldve been due to the Japanese being rather protective of their own (see Nissan saying no to Freddo) which doesnt allow developement, same goes their current GT series, if you want to run a porsche or Ferrari in GT300 then expect to have 11ty billion more restrictions on your car compared to the Japanese cars Where as out here we learnt, and learnt real fast when the likes of TWR, Nissan Works, and some Euros (Eddenberger Sierras anyone?!?!) came out for Bathurst and blew everyone away for a couple of years
  12. If that is the case than the Supra must be bullshit fast because I went past the Rover at at least 100x the speed lol
  13. ye, Freddo's car was awesome...so much so that Nissan said gtfo when they wanted to take the Winfield GTR to Japan lol The thing that Irks me a little is that Nissan went and built a 4wd car for grp.A which took advantage of the lack of rules regarding 4WD in the series The Sierrra guys could have run larger tyres, but they couldnt fit under the standard guards The Group A rules were horrid unless a car was specifically build for them eg the MA71 Turbo A Supra's brilliant cars, but due to the 3L engine had to run 150-200kgs heavier than the other cars, it was even keel on power with the Sierra's and had 12" wide wheels all around, but the weight and lack of support from toyota (were TRD built cars, but the teams were left to their own devices after that) The Shell Sierra's were faster than their European counterparts. Aussies know how to build fast tin tops Brock took a Brocky door to Monza for the 24hr race and blitzed everything until the gearbox failed The other thing people forget is how much money Freddo threw at the GTR, look at the GIO GTR, it was no where near as quick Grp.A was the series where the biggest Wallet would win, which is what killed the formula world wide
  14. ^^ This anything can be done some guys strapped a T04Z to a stock RB20 and made 430rwkws or the BRM 1.5L Superchanged V16 GP engine from the mid 50s, was making 600-650hp and revved to 11,000 in the 1950s!!!!! ran 72psi of boost lol
  15. Looks good are you going to do anything to the rear doors to meet up with the wider gaurds?
  16. do you have import approval yet? you cant just bring a car in from overseas willy nilly, needs to be approved in your case as a personal import, in which you will need to supply proof of ownership for at least 12 months etc speak to an importer
  17. Do you have an engine that will handle the -5's? or are you going to a have a laggy 350rwks and hope and pray that everytime you hit the throttle bits of engine arent going to fly out the bonnet? LOL @ engine on boost driving down the highway does the car do it now? NO!

    Wheels 2012

    I made the photo...just lol
  19. Don't trust the media to get the speed right. I lost my license when I was 18 The news made out I was going way faster than what I actually was booked for Also if the radar reading is dubious or any doubt about the accuracy the police will often do the next bracket down so it doesn't get taken to court Generally the offending driver will agree to the lower fine and non loss of licence. Instead of taking the risk of a 12 months suspension
  20. So fast the heat from atmospheric friction melts the battery? Lol
  21. Will look even better up on the hoist with a burnt out transfer case being replaced
  22. Well for starters it aintgonna fit Why the hell would you want to?
