  1. All it will take is a handful of people to sell 34 GTRs at 30k and the prices for all of them will tumble
  2. http://arizonaperformance.com/parts.html well there you go, just what I was after
  3. Dont fit There is/was a kit out there that used R33 Gtst Sumitomo calipers and a 324mm rotor, was looking at pics of the kit yesterday and in all honesty it looks rubbish Wilwood do a kit for under a grand using 330x28mm disks and their forged superlight calipers. Not a huge fan of the cheaper wilwood calipers, so may buy the hats and get a thicker rotor and their better caliper and have bracket made to suit.
  4. So, if it is a street car http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type2.php + R32 RB20 ECU (easier to find and less hassles than the Z32 ecu) + http://www.msdignition.com/Products/RPM/Timing_Controls/RPM_Controls/8969_-_Digital_RPM_Window_Switch.aspx (to control the VCT) now if you dont want the NisTune software it will be around the $200 mark for the Board.
  5. The Emanage is always fighting the standard ECU Def look for a pfc, but $ for value the ones I linked above are better imo. but if you dont want any extra funtions the pfc is a good buy. Easy to tune, cold start etc is already there. I just couldn't bring myself to pay $1300 on a 2nd hand basic computer. A 3rd option is a Toshi Re-map http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/210097-nistune-powerfc-fcon-remap-ecu-road-tune-and-dyno-tune-available-in-sydneysending-to-other-state-and-over-seas-also-abailable-now/page__hl__toshi I would suggest being 100% certain on what you want from the car, do you want to upgrade the turbo and injectors later on? or will you be happy with ~200rwkws? NisTune is a great option also and will come with in your budget
  6. I can always find what I want. Google works well too for returning SAU results
  7. What rear housing? Will you separate the turbo?
  8. use a comb or a flat blade screw driver and straighten the fins, Just thinking of it there is a tool you can buy for it, I think most refrigerator repair shops sell them annnndddd found one http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=36561
  9. Still here being picked up just after xmas...did yours sell or are you parting it? brakes are pretty average standard, 300x22 with a single piston caliper
  10. Grab some ID1000's, you can get kits with a fuel rail and reg for about the same $$ as the jap side feeds. 040 should do it, but pumps are cheap these days if it doesnt.
  11. Go the PFC or any other stand alone R33 Ecus really do not like the Emanage (from experience) the standard ECU has too many protection features. Here are some NEW options available to you http://adaptronic.com.au/products.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=67&category_id=1 http://wolfems.cart.net.au/details/696060.html http://www.vi-pec.com/page_files/pluginecu.htm But for ease of use (ala plug it in and drive the pfc is great) but note, despite the Wolf, Vi-Pec and the Adaptronic being more expensive, you wont have to buy a Z32 AFM when you want more power as they are map based ECUs They also all have inbuilt boost control, just need to buy a solenoid and wire it up. they can also control extra fuel pumps, thermo fans, Nitrous, support data logging, trac control multiple temp based rev limits pretty much anything you want. The PFC will not run any extra things, so if you want any of the above you have to either get additional controllers etc the Wolf and the Adpatronic can run flex fuel sensors if you want to go E85 or PULP or anything in between. ESP are Vi-Pec dealers, and they go for around 1600-1700 + tune Something to think about
  12. Gonna tune on E85? go for 350 on e85, should just be doable (well easily doable on canberra dynos lol)
  13. LOL Reminds me of a russin chopper pilot I met in the Army, went for a fly, there was hydraulic fluid pissing out everywhere, We asked if the leak was a problem he said in his big half drunk Russian voice "Leak...No Problem....Leak stop, Then Problem"
  14. Video looked great! Car gets very unsettled over the ripple strips have you found the gearbox leak yet?
  15. yeah or that. I figure that if I keep it VERY simple I should be right lol I wasnt planning on selling the Soarer...but this was too good to miss Also means I no longer have to keep an eye on my105 for a cheap as chups track car as I'll just use the supra Back to the Car - I originally thought that the Twin Turbo R wasnt all the much different to the regular JZA70, I initially thought that all it got was much lees weight, recaro seats, momo wheel and Bilstein shocks. Turns out it also has bigger anti-roll bars and stiffer springs, Now the Bilsteins are long gone (now has KYB's) No plans to change those just yet, as this car will well and truly be a case of if it aint broke don't fix it. May even save a thousand odd bucks on the brake upgrade and throw some track spec pads at it and see how it goes.
  16. So...is harrys lap timer pro worth the extra few bucks over the normal version? edit - never mind, $10 says who cars lol
  17. Not working for me what has changed to give you all this grip?
  18. Then go talk to a workshop Its not f**king hard
  19. see that massive thread called RB25 Turbo upgrade results start looking
  20. I say he SHOULD buy an S an E an A a R a C an H
  21. hahah I'm going to try and do it period mod, So it looks like it was wrapped in a bubble in 1997 or something. So something along the lines of an old school Jap turbo kit (td06H-20g anyone ) We shall see, what happens, it has a built A340E and a 3k(ish) stall, so next year sometime I'll drop a 5 speed in it get some big brakes on the front and get into some track work again. Going to keep this one nice and simple (re: minimal mods) and tidy it up...and the most important thing DRIVING THE BLOODY THING! tl;dr? sub 300kws, brakes, drive
  22. Greddy T88-38gk
  23. Epic build...but somehow I dont quite think the exhaust blown diffuser will work like it did in F1 (with a closed throttle because who is WOT mid corner?)
  24. So...Long story short I got offered a JZA70 Supra....and Grabbed it. Then my dad decided he wanted the Soarer. So /Project Soarer and enter Project Supra Twin turbo R
