  1. The stock air box with K&N panel filter sounds so much more classy and refined. You can also hear the turbo spool rather than the awful loud sucking noises you get with a pod
  2. Thanks for the last few responses, very informative. I've decided to import a ss unit directly from G-Tech.
  3. Or reduce your boost level, or return to using V-Power 100. ...Yes I am bored
  4. Or slightly retard your ignition timing by turning the CAS clockwise until pinging goes away, taking for a test drive between each movement of the cas.
  5. Or you could add an octane booster i.e. toluene, water/meth injection etc.
  6. You won't have to pay for another full tune, if your tuner is priced fair he should be able to adjust the tune for under $100
  7. What about the corvette crash in FNF it wasn't even planned.
  8. Cheers for your response, do they actually give a good indication of HP?
  9. Yeah, I meant just more for launches and stuff. I've got a 110km/h road near me that sees very little use, so I can accelerate up to 110, which is good but I've got no way of monitoring performance. The closest drag strip to me is an hour and a half away so I don't get that many occasions to get down there. I'm not looking to piss people off with idiotic story's just trying to determine if the g-tech units are worth the money.
  10. I'm mainly just looking at using it for 1/4mile, 60ft times so I can get my launches and shifts right for the strip.
  11. Hey guys, Couldn't find anything about the G-Tech performance meter on this forum. My question is, do these performance meters live up to the hype? I'd really like the opinions of people who have one and have compared things actual power, 1/4 times and torque to the G-tech values, rather than 'I have a mate who has one of these and says... Here is two different models I'm considering buying: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/G-TECH-GTECH-PRO-SS...bayphotohosting http://cgi.ebay.com.au/G-TECH-PRO-RR-ONBOA...1QQcmdZViewItem Cheers.
  12. Are there actually any cars we can't import in Australia? I mean most of the time it just comes down to money, who's got $200,000 to spend on a viper. I'm pretty sure if you want a car enough you could own it for two years in the country its coming from and then bring it in as a private import.
  13. It sounds like you're uneducated 'Why would i ran my stock r33 bov when it leaks?'. I'm running a bit less power than you (248rwkW) and I have had no issues with my factory BOV leaking. Again, how did you know it was leaking or are just saying that because it doesn't make fully sic sounds.
  14. A PFC can tune out the problem. How do you know the stock bov is leaking? or are just assuming...
  15. Riiiiiight
  16. I'd rather a monaro with an ls1 than an E36.
  17. Update - New ending date: Tuesday 19th of June. Get your orders in Cheers, Brett.
  18. On a proper strip I think it would be close, I'd even give the edge to the Commodore. The M3 E36 was built with handling in mind more than 1/4 mile performance and E36's are getting on in age now.
  19. Why would you bother when you can get a new set of Sards for $700. Although some people have said 'they haven't had issues with high-flow injectors' others have had problems... what if you're one of the others. You've just forked out $500 on high flows and have to spend another $700 for a real set of injectors.
  20. Screw atmo's. Whhhhy do people still use them, they're past the point of being 'cool', no performance gains, defect target, cause idle issues and sound so try hard.
  21. No offense, but what you've said is the biggest load of crap. You are judging the intercooler by the way it looks... how could you even know how much it flows, what restrictions it has, weather or not another kit will flow more. fEkuaR already said he has had a number of intercoolers and this type was the most successful for him (And yes of course you can feel and gauge the difference). A 600x300x76 cooler isn't needed for 250rwkW performance unless it's pretty much a track car. And being a cheap ass is not part of the argument as its been proven time after time for lower power output applications like this China intercoolers are more than sufficient. Besides that a lot of China kits around today are nearly carbon copies of the more expensive bigger name cooler kits.
  22. It's easy remove two or three bolts, a circlip, a hose clamp and hose. Slide sells them.
  23. Just leave it if it isn't leaking.
