  1. Don't import another skyline... please!!! If you can't find one for cheaper price in this country you must be blind, deaf and dumb. I love skylines and all, but would never own an NA version. Go NA supra if anything, they keep up with standard gts-t's.
  2. That looks really good mate, I'm thinking of going back to the standard airbox like you've done. That looks almost factory if the hoses and pipe were black.
  3. Not too sure about that one, I'd assume they'd just use a different flange style. I'll have to get back to you on that one.
  4. Yep it is and there will be a thin black hose going to it. That hose will be split, replace this hose and it should be all good.
  5. How is this anything to do with supercharging or turbocharging.
  6. Don't get a cannon they all sound awful, go for a twin tip oval muffler. They reduce the noise level heaps and don't sound drowny.
  7. Haha valiant, you loose. Valiants were povo slow boxes when they come out of the factory let alone 30+ years later. Valiants were one of the most unsuccessful cars ever to race at Bathurst. I can't believe the finish of valiants... Very rough to say the least I mean no carpet or trim on the doors on some of the earlier models, even holden could get that right. Roy, generalizations of people due to what car they drive is stupid. How can you insinuate that someone is a sexual devoid just because they drive a 33. No respect for you buddy.
  8. oval resonator ftw
  9. Or someone broke the fuel level float when installing the fuel pump. Genuinely bad idea the float, only found in 32's.
  10. If your car has an after market dial face someone has calibrated it wrong.
  11. I personally wouldn't even worry about flanges, just get it welded in there.
  12. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...r+rolling+shell I wanted this rolling shell just as a project but I couldn't justify having two cars. It's real nice and the guy selling it will probably do a bit better price because it's been for sale for ever. Interior is a bit though. Sorry to hear about the crash, damn random animals!
  13. By any chance have you tested a GReddy copy plenum on the flow bench?
  14. Unless you intend to pull down you're engine down again #3 will be the only one applicable. For response/earlier boost: Adjustable cam gears, cams, different fuel, lightened flywheel/other parts, diff gears, more tuning, larger dia throttle body, Bigger dump pipe etc. HKS or someone make an exhaust valve thing that allows some back pressure at lower rpm to help boost build up, as the volume of gas flowing through increases the valve fully opens and operates as a normal straight though section of pipe. Some people have had success with these on very laggy applications.
  15. How long does it turn over for? Have you changed anything recently? Stuffed CAS maybe, very common issue.
  16. Jumping the gun a bit. I would be looking into other possibilities before considering a rebuild, could be anything... Maybe try a compression test first put your mind at easy. Post up a dyno sheet too should help diagnose weather there's a problem. Remember it's only a rb20, no rb25
  17. Yes, same price price for the 3.5" cat.
  18. s15 for sure. but as mentioned earlier, why not 33 gtr
  19. Just got word from Kris, it'll be an additional $66 per unit for the cat with bolt-on style flanges. These will suit r32 gts-t and r33 gts25t but flanged cats are not available r34 models. B.
  20. Just adjust the solenoid duty cycle up bit by bit until you get your desired boost level. From memory go to settings choose setting [a] and then adjust from there not too difficult. Don't worry about gear based learning or anything like that until you get your car on the rollers for a tune.
  21. It's too over priced for what it is... Reg unleaded + toluene = cheap high octane fuel FTW.
  22. Won't be the coils. Try replacing the atmo BOV with your stock BOV if you still have it. If that doesn't work it could be any number of things but it's only going to be fuel related as you need lot's of fuel for flames to make it past the cat and mufflers. Could be any of these+more: faulty afm, leaking core, piping or hoses, fuel regs crapped it's self, could have reached r&r...
  23. Yep, safc should be fine for your current target as your going to be restricted by your afm and injectors anyway. At least you'll know your engine is running the right afr's rather than um'ing and arr'ing to weather the stock ecu will cope. The safc won't require that much of tune either as you'll probably only need 12psi to push the 200rwkW mark.
  24. The small stock intercooler of the r32 also ads back pressure, which raises the boost pressure between the compressor and the intercooler. This pressure is measured by the wastegate but not by the boost gauge further upstream where there is no restriction i.e straight into the intake manifold.
