  1. What's the point if you don't have the money to tune it, you'd be better to wait until you have the cash.
  2. Just try the obvious first before you start ripping off manifolds, put the other BOV back on. But yeah the higher pressure BOV might have been the demise of one of the gaskets, probably the one between the intake man and head.
  3. lol, for some reason I thought you had an rb25. rb20's and rb26's have the same igniter, series 2 r33 has an igniter built into the ECU.
  4. No, series 1 and series 1 only, no go for rb20 or 26 igniter either. Your best bet would be if you've got a mate with another s1 r33 just swap his igniter over to yours, a) if it fixes the stalling you'll know it's the igniter b) if it's still up to shit, the next most likely thing at fault would be CAS. A genuine igniter is around the $700 mark new, if you keep an eye on the trader section you may find a second hand one but be wary it'll probably be stuffed too lol. not many other reasons why someone would take their igniter off unless it was playing up or you they were planning to make big power.
  5. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...;hl=ex+cam+gear Particularly good comparo
  6. Do a search there's alotalota info about them.
  7. Well there's some spark to start it but not enough to keep it going, so I would say it would be the ignition module. If it was the coil packs one starts firing abnormally first which causes backfiring etc. but is not enough to keep completely stall the engine as you've mentioned. Has it been raining down Vic way, because wet weather usually shows all the electrical weaknesses in a car.
  8. I agree, a Bee*R rev limiter offers both additional features of the pfc pro and can be had for a fraction of the price. You also don't have the drama's of wiring up something that's not meant for your car and when buying the pfc pro you run the risk of buying that's already fried.
  9. have you got the reo and front bar? and if so is it type m?
  10. I've got a series 2 pfc in my s1 no problems I don't think it works the other way around due to the built in igniter required in s2.
  11. You don't really own the car if you have a loan... I paid 14k cash 2 years ago.
  12. Dude, just get rid of it. Simple as that. Hicas doesn't help in any useful way and was just a marketing wank by Nissan.
  13. Hey Guys, I'm looking at importing a few parts from the US and want to gauge how much the item will cost me in total. That is after GST, quarantine(?), and other such costs involved in getting it into Australia. Details of item. Under 5kg Size 40cmx40cmx40cm Value of item approx AU$240 Nothing dangerous or illegal of course If anyone has bought similar items from the US or have experience in this area could you give me some costs, advice etc. Thanks, Brett.
  14. How about an EOI for the cables on SAU to give the fc-tune guy some motivation to finish the skyline PFC cables. I know I'd be willing to pay more than $260 if it lives up to the hype. Which RB's is he making the cable for? or is it universal?
  15. Tell us the shop, they deserve to be named after charging that. 8Hours is BS, its not like safc's are hard to tune. As a rough guide it's costing me $500 for a full tune with FC datalogit + installing new injectors, so an safc should be at most $250 to tune.
  16. The suspension is damn good, but damn stiff at the same time. The seats are too hard and are a pain in the ass to get in and out of. The clutch is very hard sprung and engages like bitch for a factory clutch. If you're use to this in previous modified cars it's not that bad. Only way to know for sure is drive one for yourself.
  17. V35 for comfort, daily driving. Evo for track/weekend work.
  18. What are 4.3 diff gears found in?
  19. If you've got a new or near new Water Injection system pm the price. Probably Interested. Thanks.
  20. In for my first whore.

Heyoo, New to Queensland section, but been on here for ages mainly in teh tech section etc. My name is Brett, some people me BAM (intials) and I live in a sh1thole known as Toowoomba. Other stuff about me, I'm 20 and have the ability to fail at most everything I do lol. that's mainly due to an attitude problem. In the near future I may be moving to the coast or Brisbane for a bit of diversity. My car is an r33 gts25t. Few mods: slide max hi-flow, 555cc inj, pfc, avcr, SK suspension. Heres some pics. Haha just realized these old photo's when it had stock 4wd suspension. Brett.
  22. Haha this thread reminds me of an episode south park. 'I like to be part of the solution, not part of the problem' 'Thaaaannks!!!' Smug bastards. But yeah up in hills of Toowoomba, skyline drivers usually give some sought of nod or wave.
  23. Thanks for the replies. I'm just going to leave it on, check it every now and then and hope for the best. B.
  24. Yep when I check it, it was a whole day without start. So I suppose it could just be oil float for the bearings. It's really hard to say how much movement, best guess 2mm side to side. I was really expecting there to be none given it's a near new turbo.
