  1. Battery maybe on the way out and it's not providing enough cold cranking amps. Test the cells with a hydrometer and also clean up and tighten terminals.
  2. Driving is the easy part, paying attention to whats going on is the hard part. As for 'what can I do now' I'd take take that magna over some sweet jumps.
  3. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...irbox+with+fmic
  4. I found a spare plastic key barrel surround in mine, my car was previously stolen off the old owner so I'm guessing the thief did the old switcheroo with key barrels. I also found about $10AUD in coins no greater than $1. Also a box of fuses and heaps of other little random things. If you haven't checked already, check under where the jack in the corner of the boot it's like Christmas.
  5. When you say 'another car' what was the other car? Increased boost pressure and airflow can affect the operation of a BOV.
  6. 0.8mm would probably be better since you're running 10psi.
  7. Weird problem, sounds like a dieing fuel pump as mentioned earlier. Nothing else can really get progressively worse like that. What brand/model is the pump?
  8. Probably a month or so, I'm a bit busy with uni and work at the moment.
  9. Wasn't this covered just the other week
  10. Yep, well we have to get some back after the harassment and discrimination young drivers face from the RTA, police, news, current affairs shows etc. The media has nothing else better to report on besides paris hilton and the odd hoon who gives a bad name for all young drivers. People get outraged about this subject too easily and I believe it's the reason these stupid ads exist today.
  11. Sexy as, can't wait until I can afford one in 20 years time.
  12. Not another one of these threads
  13. Where are these $140 fuel pumps you speak of... my genuine bosch cost $220 delivered. A fuel pressure gauge is a good idea all the same, as if fuel pressure drops the afr's lean out and cause damage. Many cheap after market fuel pumps break or seize shortly after installation due to poor installation, factory faults with pumps, and especailly with 040's the bottom filter screen sucks up crap and reduces possible flow which burns out the pump.
  14. As rednecks would say 'don'ts fix it till it's brokes' But seriously should be fine, and you don't want to put fuel pump in unless you really have to... It's a stinky c**t of job. Buy a fuel pressure gauge only $69 (defi style) from just jap for fuel pump insurance + you can rice your cabin up more.
  15. higher-octane fuel will lean out the mixtures, except as the the octane level is the fuel's rating of resistance to detonation it will probably be safer for the motor. However, using a higher octane fuel without a tune may not see any gains because the burn rate will be reduced and the motor will not be running optimally. Best bet, just run 98octane what your car was tuned with. If you really must, an amateur way of adjusting ignition timing to get the most out of a higher octane fuel is done by moving the CAS anti-clockwise slightly, test driving and repeat until you reach an acceptable knock level i.e. 20-30. Or read up on paulr33 PFC guide.
  16. A new front bar and 18" te37's with a big offset would match looks with the power it should be putting out. Great work on the car so far, air brushed covers are a bit different.
  17. I love how you used those old adds the got banned for promoting speed too.
  18. That's the funniest shit I've seen in a long time. Send it in to today tonight, it's not like they have anything better to report on anyway.
  19. The twin fog lights on S2 are ugly any way. Just get smaller replacements and then you can get any front bar.
  20. I was speaking to a guy in at work about his clear lights, I asked where he got his from. He said you just have to pull apart the tail lights and take out the red bits. They looked identical to that. Drop tank ftl.
