Fark these sought of things piss me off, makes me want to do stuff in spite of them
-
There's something else going on there and WI alone will not fix the issue. Knock should never reach that level and I would advise you not to drive your car 'hard' until you have that fixed. I really think your tuner/s have something to answer for... Sounds like very lean afr's, what other mods do you have? could also be related to faulty fuel related parts i.e. afm, pump, injectors etc. or knock sensor troubles.

I think it's got a lot to do with following, I was a Sega fan ever since the mastersystem and I bought just about every console between there and the dreamcast. My next following was the playstation, so far I've owned ps1, ps2 and psp, I wouldn't own anything else. At the moment I can't justify $1000 for PS3, should they ever come down to $600ish with many popular games available I will get one. I think this is how a lot of other people see it too, ps3's success will come with time. What I can't believe is that the 360's are still afloat with all the over heating issues, I just wouldn't trust them. And Nintendo wii... I don't how these sell. Surely they could only appeal to kids, the hand controller thing reminds eyetoy for ps2, who wants to wave and jump around while playing a racing game.

I think scaife's record is much more impressive (though I'm not a scaife fan at all). The racing these day's is a lot more controlled and the restrictions imposed makes it nearly an even playing field for all. To stand out these days it largely comes down to the skill of the driver. All you needed to win back in Brock's day was a name for yourself and sponsorship from a major cigarette company.

Haha true. For the full batman effect.

Very closed minded statement. I've got a PFC, the point being to raise the octane level with the use of methanol, it's far better than randomly adding toluene, additives etc. to the fuel tank as WI is always going to inject the same amount.
-
Your 2c isn't required here, please don't add rubbish to my thread. Subie: The Plenum will not suit rb20. A mate of mine has a similar plenum to this and has no idling issues, no noticeable loss of power down low. And of course these plenums are designed for higher output applications. You start seeing the benefits above 240rwkW.

The kit I have activates at a set boost level. And you can adjust the psi it is activated with the boost sensor. It's not the best setup as it consistently injects the same amount of water right over the rev range. This however can be tuned out by using less petrol down low to correct afr's, you are essentially just using the WI as a secondary source of fuel.

Where/how To Connect Boost Controller
BAMR33 replied to Nothing(V)an's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Go to repco buy a screw in nipple same the size as original, a tap set out of the $10 bin, thread tape and a drill bit the size of the thread end of the nipple. Now drill a hole where the original was, tap it, cover the thread of nipple with thread tape and screw in...easy. -

Nothing, but I'm looking to get the MAF set-up soon.
-
http://www.full-throttle.com.au/Engine/Boost%20Cooler.htm The Mafia has one these^^. Full throttle are about the only distributer in Australia for WI and ask ridiculous amounts for these kits.
-
A basic MAF setup like that is pretty good for $400, but you always run the risk of buying something that is stuffed. http://aquastealth.com/index.asp?PageActio...dID=88&HS=1 I bought one of these ^^ kits from the U.S. a couple months ago all up cost $280AUD to get it to my door step. These are really good quality for the money. They have the same 140psi shurflow pump as other brands - boost cooler, snow performance etc. The becooling setup is nearly identical to this unit http://www.full-throttle.com.au/Engine/stage1.htm except over half the price and has a better electrical solenoid rather than a crappy anti-drain back valve of BoostCooler kit. Although this is not a MAF tunable kit, you can adapt any variable injection unit to this setup. You can even go one better than the eBay kit and get a fully programmable MAF computer that can inject water according to load vs rpm, which is what I'm looking at doing in the near future. These MAF computers can be had cheap from countries where WI is popular U.K, U.S. I'm yet to tune or dyno my setup but from I've noticed so far there is less knock, more pull on hot days and the intake manifold is now cool to touch after going for a run. I doubt at the moment this setup is making much more power as the WI is only set off late and the ignition timing hasn't been touched yet. But once I add methanol and get a full tune at 19psi the gains should be really noticeable.

Just How Good Can A Skyline Handle?
BAMR33 replied to Lachlan33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
No mildly worked skyline gts is ever going to handle great. They're just too big and heavy, an equivalently modified GTiR, Glanza, wrx etc. is always going to leave the gts for dead. I'm very much a fan of skyline's but I know my car is no world beater. Before I got my full SK setup I'd admit the handling was not impressive at all. I'd even say my parents BA falcon handled better, that's kind of bias though as my car has 11 years of wear and tear on their's. After I installed the new suspension there was a big difference, I'd say the handling is now good and representative of what a skyline should handle like. -
XF falcon and then you can take it over jumps, slide on gravel roads, push over trees and not give a shit about. If you crash and write it off doesn't matter you can find road worthy one's for under $500. Only problem you'll look like a bogan.

I noticed in your avatar you have or had a GT-R front bar which one out the two (gt-r or trial) has more ground clearance?
-
They're the best looking front bar's for 33's IMO. Except the round indicator's are a bit out dated, but they can be fiberglassed over .

Bob Jane T-mart's Annual Package Deals!
BAMR33 replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Whaaaat, that R34supra is my dream car! when I get it I may consider taking up the Bob jane offer and also get a gatling gun exhaust to make it even sic(er). -
It's tempting, but I don't do any circuit work so.... hmmm .... decisions, decisions.

Worst job putting a fuel pump in-tank. I got so light headed from the petrol fumes when I put mine in. Best tip with the 040 make sure you orientate the clamps so they clear the edges of the tank, other wise the bracket won't push all the way down all they way.
