Username Change Requests Here
Kaz200 replied to Baz's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Hey guys, anyone changing their username that is also an SAU VIC club member, can you please PM me to let me know what it was & what it's been changed to, so I can keep track of your details Cheers! ~Kaz SAU VIC Secretary -
I can do that for you.. but only if I get dibs on the vents and airbox /bribe

DIBS ON AIRCON VENTS! (centre & left) and airbox with clips!! (if you wreck it) Sorry to hear that With super.. he can only get it out if he's been unemployed for 6months+ and on the dole etc and can prove he is in financial hardship and can't pay his bills. If he had a letter of demand for $13k or whatever I'm sure it might help him but if he's working it's VERY unlikely he will get any money from super. 3k? seriously? This guy in greensborough late last year was up to 10k and he still had half the car left!! freakin 3k.. I'll give that to you tomorrow and wreck it myself It does depend how much damage but 3k is way out.

hey Greg! Sure do, will you be at the meeting on Tue or do you need it posted? ~Kaz

Ruffels: too true! Both my parents work in real estate/strata management and tell me all the money is in commercial properties now. The dry ground shrinking under houses due to lack of rain doesn't help much either.

lol @ andrew Indeed, people you can't just change the locks & enter a tenant's property whenever you feel like it regardless of rent owed, as you'd be breaking the law and then the tenant could charge you with trespassing and apply to be allowed back into the property! The sheriff is usually the person who evicts the tenant and they have 14 days to evict, unless there is special circumstances and the tribunal grants 30 days. Also a tenant can ring the police/sheriff and say they intend to move out on the 14th day, and the police may wait until then, SO, if you can, Al you should get them to do it asap because legally they can evict the same day the order is given (= less money lost). Also landlords cannot evict tenants themselves because it's illegal and the tenant can be allowed back into the property yet again and it doesn't help your case. The laws are in place because ultimately the gov't wants 'everyone to have a home' and to avoid making people homeless or something or rather. Hence why squatters don't just get arrested for trespassing or booted out, though I'm not sure on the laws of that these days, it's possible they've changed. In Sydney, there used to be groups of squatters that would move into a building and always make sure at least one of them would be there at all times, used to take ages to get them out. For putting them on the blacklists, try www.ntd.net.au Oh and even if the utility companies would allow you to disconnect their services, landlords have to provide essential services like water, electricity etc or they (can) get free rent til it's fixed.

Indeed if you're going to rudely argue someone's point, you'd think you'd make a contradicting statement at least.

lol I did write something along the lines of.. you only know what your GF tells you and sometimes it can be translated or interpreted wrong, blown out of proportion or not enough.. but I deleted it caus it was already a novel (as usual) You also have to be careful what position you put yourself in. It's like when a friend whinges about their g/f or b/f and you agree saying 'yes they totally treat you like crap'.. and then the next day they're all peachy again and they get really defensive if you say anything remotely negative about their partner, their relationship, or their solution to yesterday's problem. Then they'll be real distant until they're single or having problems again. And yeah, once you sort out one problem, there'll always be another. Hopefully she'll put her foot down and tell her mother to back off & be supportive if she wants to continue to be in her life.
-
That whole 'blood is thicker than water' thing is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If someone is causing problems in your life, it shouldn't matter who they are, IF they don't have YOUR best interests at heart then you shouldn't go out of your way for them/to please them or put yourself at a disadvantage because they're unhappy. Sometimes you are better off if you just cut off your 'family' and make your own, it's much better! You can never be at a disadvantage making the family you want and ignoring negative influences, if you had kids already your first priority would be protecting them. I don't know if that's the best option for your GF tho as I'm not in her position. I think in your situation, either way your gf's mother is doing nothing but turning her own daughter against her. No matter what, you should always be supportive in everything your child does, even if you don't agree with it, because ultimately they'll do whatever they want and at the very least you want to be there for them if it doesn't work out. Saying things like 'I won't attend a wedding' will do nothing but make your GF disappointed with her and not with you. My only advice really is to be supportive, be there for her and give her no reason to believe anything her mother says. Just let her mother dig her own hole, there's not much else you can do really. If she can't see past the manipulation then it's not something you'd want to live with for another 20 yrs anyway, believe me it's very exhausting and frustrating. I know exactly what you mean about the nice as pie bit.. gawd they can be so manipulative, esp when they have no life and need entertainment and want attn all the time. Just be glad you're not living with it already.

No email notifications means I didn't realise it was working again, until I just tried on the off chance.. lol -
Hi guys, alot of people don't update their email details and so I usually send an SAU VIC membership renewal letter via PM. Since the upgrade, the box for attachments has been replaced with the SAU main banner, with the SAU hyperlink. So can't add attachments nor see the list of already attached etc etc. Oh I can see now, that it's the same box in posting new topics. Cheers ~Kaz

Back to front. From filter goes to the rail, and return line comes from FPR hope that fixes it

I still see so many stupid people signing up their names and phone numbers to those 'FREE ENTRY' stands in shopping centres... half the time they're not even entering to win the car on display, they only get $1000 (not that they'll ever win anyway).

probably my most favourite quote so far.. (in another thread of his) lol

Adult Material
Kaz200 replied to satanic's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
OK.. can I please get some clarification on what is acceptable and what's not re adult material in sections other than the wasteland? (oh and I don't mean avatars but pics as well) Like at what point is it not acceptable.. I'm told bikini's etc are ok as it's the same as Autosalon pics.. tho I don't agree with Autosalon pics being worksafe either but at least they're usually in a clearly marked thread.. and also then I don't need to explain to my daughter why there are girls hanging off cars wearing not much, but she has to keep her dress down etc etc... Anyway I know all workplaces have different policies.. like I don't even know how half of you can look at NS.com caus it's always been blocked from the first load at every company I've ever worked at.. YET if you work in the govt you can pretty much look at anything.. but anyyyhooo is there an SAU policy or guidelines or something? Thankyou -
Pirtek is more expensive than HIS Hose but they do give out samples

Depends where you are.. but you can get everything you'll need at H.I.S Hose, incl hose clamps www.hishose.com.au They have 3 branches - in campbellfield, sunshine & mulgrave For under $100 you'll get enough hose.. they sell it by the length and they'll chop it to size for you. They're also really good for making up weird fittings & valves, adaptors, filters, hydraulic hose etc.
